The following is a transposition of information found from a stack of papers my great-great-grandfather wrote while he was a researcher in the most remote parts of Florida prior to its great population increase of the 1920s. He had been in Florida for decades researching an interesting phenomenon that occurred back then and appears to occur now: the fact no one inhabited the swamps deep inside Florida. These were never published, and he  would refuse to speak about it to anyone according to my grandfather and even my mother who knew him. Anyone who knew him before and after knew he was no longer the same man after coming back. Here is a copy of what was written. I had been interested in his stories, as I continue to suffer from hysteria where no one around has been able to help. No psychiatrists or therapists or any of the sort were able to help me understand the green dreams I was having for the past year or so.
