There was a time when humans could be trusted. It wasn't as if they betrayed us for no reason either, it was the demons that did this. Their hatred and cold hearts shifting on to those of the human race. It's a shame to see all the broken homes, ruined villages, and lost families: It was their fault, they will pay.
My hand drifted along the frozen wall of cement. This village, just like many others, was in ruins. There is nothing I could do to fix it, I wasn't fast enough.
I heaved a long, cold sigh and turned around, my eyes catching the setting sun for almost a fraction of a second. The beauty of the orange flames dancing across the horizon. It was truly an astonishing sight, but it wasn't as if many of us were looking at it. My gaze shifted from the masterpiece to the cold shadows of the Stained Forest.
My child will be born in this retched world. The agony he or she will feel will be like no other, but I have no doubt that this child I bare, will make a difference. Even if it's just a tiny fragment of that chain the prophecy talked about.
"My child... For you, and only you, I will keep on going. I will walk to the edge of the world and find a perfect place before you are born. I promise you that..."
My journey didn't stop until I had reached the silent village of Fross. It's name was as cold as the winter sky, and I barely made it in before I collapsed. the time in this small village almost appeared to stop completely the minute I walk in, but that just might be because this here town is protected by a rather complex race.
I was on a horse of luck at the moment; not only was my appearance similar to that of a human, but the town itself was full of people that came from many places, one of which helped me and took me to a warm place to rest.
I awoke at the middle of the night by, the contractions getting worse the more time that passed. I attempted to call out someone's name, the old ladies maybe, but because of the pain my memory didn't want to remember her name. I decided to attempt and knock something down, and finally get the old ladies' attention. A rather large book hit the floor and a few seconds later, I could hear the old lady running to the room I was currently occupying.
The baby was born just fine, a healthy baby boy, and the mother uttered her last words... His name.
Hello guys! This is my biggest project that I will be working on. Before making it into a comic, I decided i would make it a novel, to see how the audience reacts to it! I have a lot planned for this story and hope you lovely humans interact and help me build the perfect story! please think of this little chapter as a prologue, I believe it fits, but I am still quite new to all of this.
Also the cover isn't ready, I will try to draw out a cover as soon as possible but give me a small break, I have work and school and barely any free days.
