The story could start with people in black suits and dress all pulling up in there cars and lining up tears stained faces. All as they waited for the horrible day to end and for the poor boy to get lowered in the ground. WE would all take our seats and listen to them one by one talk about how missed he is but we won’t. I’m not here to bore you to death so don’t worry. Instead our story starts off before our main character has died. So sit back and pay attention as the tail unfolds.
Our story starts off in the cafeteria of Jackson Bay High School home of the Jackson Bay Dolphins. I was on the lunch line waiting when I heard Chase my childhood friend shout my name from across the room. “Yo! Adam! Where over here today!” I laughed and waved so he knew I heard and wouldn't keep yelling from across the room. I held up my tray when my turn came to get food and regretted not bring lunch from home right away. ‘Great meatloaf Wednesday.’ I thought grossed out but thanked the lunch lady and walked over to the table my friend was at with his new buddy.
“Not eating again I see.” Emma said as she came over and sat across from me. I laughed and shook my head making a grossed out face at her. I didn’t want to answer so I changed the subject instead. “So care to tell us all what has you all fired up today Chase?” I asked getting ready for whatever crazy story he would make up on the spot this time. He looked at me with an excited smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes. “So you guys know about the new kid at school right?” Before me or Emma could tell him we had not he cut us off to excited to wait. “Well I told him to join us for lunch!” He yelled and would have jumped up from his seat if I hadn’t grabbed him fast enough to yank him back down before his butt could leave the chair. Emma rolled her eyes not really believing that there was a new kid or that he was eating with us. I on the other hand was kind of bummed out because I was ready for some big way out there story. Chase noticed I seemed disappointed and shot at me right away. “Adam I swear this isn’t a story he’s really come! Look over there he’s here!” Chase jumped up before I could catch him this time and started to yell out to the kid and wave his arms excitedly.
He was a tall and bit off as he gave off red flags left and right. I watched as the boy walked over and took a seat next to me smiling as soon as he sat down. “It’s nice to meet you Adam. I’m Liam and I really hope we can be friends.” He spoke in a way that sent chills down my spine and made me wonder why he only spoke to me and not the others. More importantly how he knew my name without me telling him unless Chase had told him our names ahead. I felt uncomfortable talking to him so I gave a small node and smile and turned to face Emma. “That looks yummy wanna trade lunches? If we do I might just eat this time.” She rolled her eyes and gave in switching lunches with me even thought she knew I still wouldn’t eat.
