Chapter 1: Just a Pill

You are Wo Ba-Gul, a patient at Suspiria Asylum For The Deranged and Diseased, you don't know how you got here, or why. You are the only one that can see the bloody writing on the wall, and feel the demons surrounding you. You won't be able to eat or sleep or think without the voices hounding your movements. They give you medicine you don't want to take but must, you are the only one. Only one in your head, but are you? Are you?

The Doctor is a tall, gaunt man with long raven hair, his face is heavily scarred, his nose looks like it was broken more than once.

 They call him, Doctor Instability and he has been assigned to you, alongside an orderly known as The Wounded. You see it, see their true names, floating above their heads, but you cannot speak them. No one believes you when you try.

They give you a wheelchair.

"There there, I can't do anything for you, I'm not a miracle worker." Doctor Instability says.

"Why am I here? What happened?" You ask

"You're in a mental asylum, you came in by your own free will” Doctor Instability says in reply.

"I am your doctor, now come with me, I have something for you."

You are brought to a room, and it's as cold as the rest of the place. The walls are bare, and the floor is made of concrete blocks. Instability wheelies you in and stops.

"I'm not going in there." You say sharply, glaring at the flickering lights above your head. As if they had the answers, as if they could solve all your problems. 

"It's not that kind of a room, shut the door when you see what I'm about to show you, you can't walk regardless." he takes you inside and closes the door. "It's time for a new medication called Niteroid, Nee-teh-roid, an anti-psychotic" he holds up a plastic cup filled with a wiggling worm. 

  "This is a larva, you eat it, it grows inside your stomach and eventually comes out as a pupa. The final stage is a beautiful red butterfly.”

 "Why do you want me to eat it? What will the red butterfly do?" You ask hesitantly as you watch it wiggle.

"What will it do? You'll see in just a moment." He walks over with the caterpillar and you shake your head no. He forces it down your throat. "It's just a pill, I was advised to play into your delusional state, but the farce is too much, you won't remember in the morning anyhow, drink" he gives you apple juice as you dislike pills with water.

You eat the worm and it feels like something fills your entire head. Maybe it was just a pill, as you drink the apple juice provided. "It's just a pill Ba-Gul, just a pill"  you say over and over again. 

You begin to feel woozy.

"You are a fighter, you'll be fine, just a couple more days." He smiles, you begin to feel sick.
