—That lady is looking at us— Oliver was sitting next to Jayden in a fast food shop, eating a burger like there was no tomorrow, when he did that observation.
—No, she's looking at you, not me. And it doesn't surprise me, you eat like a pig, Doom. No wonder why she watches you like that. Stop being such a mess, for god's sake.
Oliver said nothing. He was so used to Jay's personality that comments like those didn't affect him anymore. «But she's been looking at me for awhile now» thought Oliver, a little bit worried about her strange attitude. He couldn't think of any reason to attract the woman's attention like that— and she seemed like she wanted to talk with him so badly.
—Do you think I should go and introduce myself?— he said after a moment of silence. Jay looked at him with strangeness. And then, he laughed,
—You're definitely a weirdo, Oliver. Why should you do that? Don't be stupid, she's clearly a stalker or something. Maybe she's not quite right, you know— he pointed his head with his index finger to highlight his words.
—That's the only reason I can think she has to stare at you like if you were somehow interesting— he added.
Suddenly, the woman, who looked like if she was on her twenties, got up from her seat and started to walk towards the guys without hesitation and didn't stop until she was stood right in front of them— looking as if she was there to talk about business.
—Excuse me, gentlemen. Is one of you...— she looked at a piece of paper she had in her hand— ...Oliver Doom?
Oliver and Jayden exchanged confused looks. Finally Oliver raised his hand shyly while his friend, next to him, whispered «Doom, what are you doing? Don't answer, you fool!»
—Nice to meet you, Oliver— said the woman with a misterious but clear voice —I'm... Well, I am your mother.
