A young girl (named Jade) was standing in front of a bus stop when a girl with gold eyes showed up and stood beside her. Jade stared at her for a few seconds until a car skidded from another corner, hit a light pole and knocked it right to the ground. While everyone around them examined the damage, the girl with gold eyes disappeared, leaving Jade with a puzzled expression before she heard the voice of a certain person standing inches away from her.

Person: Hey Jade

Of course it was her sister Ember, who was supposed to pick her up twenty minutes before the accident occurred. She called her name to get her attention off of all the swearing and shocked reactions from the people who witnessed the incident across the street.

Jade (with her hands on her hips): “What took you so long?”

Ember: “Sorry, something came up before I could get to you in time.”

Jade(thinking): “I bet it had something to do with that man.”

When they arrived home, they noticed that the house was empty once again due to their guardian being absent. They also noticed that the furniture was missing and a picture had fallen to the floor. The TV was also missing from the wall. The back door had been bumped off of its hinges and the window was broken in the kitchen. Jade and Ember were still standing at the front door when they saw this scene.

Jade: “What happened to the furniture?”

Ember(frowning):”Some idiots probably stole them. Let’s go pack up again.”

Jade: “They could be hiding somewhere.”

Ember: “Trust me. They’re not dumb enough to hide in this house.”

They were about to go upstairs to pack some clothes when they heard a loud thumping noise. They heard a second thump coming from within the walls of the living room, then they heard a frantic cry for help.

Voice:”Help! Get me out of here!”

Jade(looking at the wall): “There’s someone in there.”

Ember: “Quick, let’s see if we can push the wall open.”

They began pushing on the walls until they saw a crack that revealed a secret opening that was locked. The girls tried to open it with their hands, but it was too strong for them. They could hear the trapped person thumping at the wall as they continued to beg for help.

Ember:”We’ve got to get this door open.”

Jade looked around to find anything with a hook attached to it when she found a metal pry bar that was sitting in the kitchen. Jade gave a questionable look before she gave it to Ember. Ember used the tool to quickly pry open the door to release the person who was crying for freedom. A young man emerged with hair that was cut to the point where he was nearly bald. He looked like he was suffering from insomnia and his skin was almost pale. The girls could tell that he had no food or water for a while and he was hardly able to walk.

Young man:”Please help me.”

Ember:”We’re getting you out of here right now.”

Ember and Jade quickly rushed the man out of the house so they could take him to a hospital that was far away from the house. They had nothing but worried looks on their faces as he sat in his hospital bed with his eyes closed. All Jade could do was look at the floor as her sister comforted her by putting a hand on her shoulder.

Ember:”Don’t worry sis. She won’t get away with this.”

Jade looked up at her for a short moment then sighed as she looked at the young man.
