Family Business

The scene starts off  in a dark world, the moonlight fills the world with a blue atmosphere, there was a city that the moonlight shined on, the city buildings had their lights on. Inside the city were people that were moving around desperately trying to get to work on time, cafe’s were busy, shops were being overwhelmed with so many people mesmerized by the caffeine aroma.

CUT TO:

A giant mansion on a hill, inside the mansion was a boy inside of his room, he was putting on a blue t-shirt, he straightened out the shirt, his face didn’t seem all that happy unfortunately, in fact he had a disappointed look on his face, his appearance was a very fit young man, strong jawline, he wore jeans as well, he had on socks.

BRUCE(mind)

I hate this whole charade, just why do i have to take on the family business , i rather rule my own realm than stay here, i need to feel free… healed

Bruce cracks his neck moving it side to side, he gets a knock at his door, he looks in the reflection of the mirror at the door.

BRUCE

*sigh* Who is it?

VAIL

It’s me

BRUCE

Come in Vail

Bruce said with a disappointing voice, Vail opens the door and walks inside. she had on a blue t-shirt and leather jacket with black jeans, her skin was perfect and cooked to perfection, her body was in her prime, and her eyes had a dark outline around them.

VAIL

Hey, are you ready for your big day?

BRUCE

Hardly, i’m sick of this place, i want to see some sunlight, let the vitamin D hit my skin, those vibrant colors of the other world i’ve seen in the books they’re so interesting

VAIL

Bruce, it’s family tradition to rule the world our parents created, plus you know you don’t need vitamin D… were everlasting

BRUCE

But i never asked for this, Frankly our parents never ask how we feel they just assume were ok with everything they say, well not this time, tonight at the ball i plan to tell mom and dad my real plan

Vail gets shocked by what Bruce stated, she puts her head down.

VAIL

But… you know what will happen if you disobey them.. don’t you?

BRUCE

I am not afraid of them Sister! Tell me did you really enjoy your time here as ruler of this place?

VAIL

…

Vail said nothing, putting her head up again but quickly looking away.

BRUCE

It’s time we take our own lead as the new rulers, we are older and much more mature now, i’ll see you tonight 

Bruce walks past Vail  out of the room and closes the door.

INT. IN THE WORLD OF  CREATION, in this world, it was very beautiful, there was a small village in the outlook and mountains filled with cherry blossom trees, there were a huge pile of stairs leading up to a thrown with a woman sitting on it, behind the throne was a giant palace, the woman sitting in the throne did not look thrilled to see her world flourishing in beauty as she controlled every living thing there, she waved her hand around as a flower appeared in her hand, she gave the flower a soft smile but then blew it away as she shook her hand away, she rested her chin on her hand and sighed.

KIREINA(mind)

When am i gonna get to have some fun, i may be a ruler of the living but i do not feel alive right now

As she stated that in her mind a flower garden on the side of her palace started to shrivel up and die.

LILY

KIREINA!

Shee looked back behind her throne to see a majestic woman servant pointing at the fallen garden.

LILY

Please try to control your emotions while on the throne

KIREINA

Right, I’m sorry buddy, It’s just when am i gonna get to the FUN part of being princess of creation

LILY

Ahahahahahah, oh Princess Kireina you always were one to fool around

KIREINA

Lily, I'm serious !!!

LILY

Oh… well um, i guess i never really thought about that, i’ve always been happy just serving the royal family, but if you could elaborate my princess

KIREINA

Well the royal family has passed down this realm to rule for many generations, but has anyone considered maybe we don’t want to rule? But simply … live(?)

LILY

Princess are you referring to abandoning the throne?

KIREINA

Well, yea

LILY

Oh heavens no! The former realm rulers have always been honored to rule

KIREINA

Speak for yourself

Lily looked a little disappointed.

LILY

Princess Kireina, is there something you are trying to say?

KIREINA

I… just feel like I don't belong here, like something  is calling my name, somewhere out there I need to find it… i need to heal it

Lily frowns.

CUT TO:

INT. VALAX INC. MAIN ROOM

There were a lot of people in the main room of a building, everyone was well dressed, a disco floor lit up the center of the room, the room was filled with conversing folk, there were two thrones with stairs leading up to them, two people sat in those thrones, the King and Queen of the moonlight realm, Vail and Bruce were sitting at a table together staring at their parents.

*FLASHBACK TRIGGERS*

INT. VALAX ROYAL MASTER STUDY ROOM

The King and Queen and their children were all in the room.

Queen Victoria

ABSOLUTELY NOT, IT’S FAMILY TRADITION AND YOU WILL NOT BREAK IT NOW

Bruce and Vail look at each other.

King William

Listen son, we know it can be a little nerve racking, taking on the name of the moonlight realm, but it’s not that hard once you take a seat on that throne, you’ll connect with the moonlight more than you already have

Bruce

The problem isn’t sitting on the throne, it's the fact that I don't want to do it at all!

The King and Queen were quiet for a sec, they put their heads down, Vail looked worried.

Queen Victoria

Bruce, you are not going to tell the people of the moonlight realm that you are not taking the throne

Bruce

Who will stop me mother?

Queen Victoria jolts her head up as her face turns into a cosmic blue and her eyes start to glow, Vail and Bruce get a little nerve wrecked, King william lifted up his head as his hair started to flow up in the air as his face turned cosmic as well and his eyes were glowing red.

King William

We did not run this realm for centuries for you to throw it off balance

Bruce and Vail were quiet.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

INT. VALAX MAIN ROOM

The king stands up from his throne and grabs his glass and fork, he hits them together, the ringing sound grabs everyone’s attention.

King William

Good evening realm dwellers, or night if you will

The king Smiles as everyone chuckles, Vail and Bruce are glaring at their father with anger, they look up at their mother who was still on her throne to see her glaring at them with a side of her face cosmic, they get nervous and look away.

King William

Today is a celebration for the new era of the moonlight realm

The people applaud.

King William

To celebrate my son, Bruce Valax will be taking on the throne of moonlight to rule our people, but before we get to that you know we always have our End of the century ball, so let’s have a good time

The people applaud, Bruce and Vail glare at their father.
