"Jay, Devon, come on, we have to get to the new house." Mom said as me and Devon jumped in the car. I was around 8, dad had just passed, and we were going to live near grandma. Grandma was a sweet 50-year-old. She always gave me and Devon gifts. There were 4 grandkids in total including me and Devon. Lily and Asher were Aunt Fiona's kids. Devon was diagnosed with autism at 4. And of course he was the favorite, the one who could do no wrong in our mom's mind. But I was dad's favorite. I got almost everything dad owned, his estates, his cars, and even when I turned 18, I became the CEO of his business. Mom however thought that she, his wife of 12 years should get everything. She still got some things, a house and a car. Once we got to the new house, me and Devon raced, he wanted the better room. I got to the room. "I CHOSE MY ROOM!" I yelled as mom got upstairs; my brother was crying on the floor. "Jay, you can have the other room, this room is your brothers." Devon's eyes lit up, he turned to me smiling. "And you say you don't pick favorites." I mumbled under my breath as I walked to the other room. Almost a week later I was starting 3rd grade. I was put in Ms. Brown's class. She was a nice teacher. In that same class, I met Brooke. A gorgeous brunette, hazel eyes, freckles, and wore glasses. Brooke was shy. I was the opposite, I was outgoing, and what you could consider as popular for a 3rd grader. Lots of friends and had good snacks. I would always share my snacks with her, I think that's when I realized I had a crush on her. Everyone did the "Brooke and Jay, sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" I think I also was dared to ask her out. It was elementary school, core memories. But in fifth grade, on my 11th birthday, we kissed. It was a dare. She gained instant popularity for that one kiss. When 8th grade rolled around, I finally asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes. She would cheer me on at my basketball games. She came to all my birthdays, and on my sweet 16, I was allowed to use some of the money my dad left me to throw the party, the whole 10th grade came. It was the greatest party ever! Brooke and I were voted best couple of 9th and 10th grade. We were the perfect couple. We never fought. We were agreeably the best couple. I wouldn't have it any other way. One weekend, maybe 2 weeks before the end of the year, we went to a party. It was hosted by a mutual friend. Everyone who could make it was invited, 8th grade +, meaning, Devon was invited. But I didn't care. There was alcohol, but I didn't drink, I had to stay sober. But both Devon and Brooke drank, and they were wasted. Still don't know why they let Devon, a 14-year-old, drink. About 4 hours later, I drove them home. Brooke was staying the night. Her parents would flip if they knew she was drunk. I pulled out an air mattress and put it in the living room, we turned it into a little slumber party. I woke up to Brooke not being on the air mattress. I just assumed she went to the bathroom.
Just to clarify, The grandma is on the dads side, not the moms.
Jason or better known as jay had a normal life. No supernateral abilities, just a normal teen. He had a great girlfriend, or so he thought until he caught her with his brother?!
