"Do not yell at me, Jake. You are to marry a Princess. That is royal rules. If you rebel, you will have to face punishment." He said a little firmly.
"Oy, what are you- Prince Jake Southwell!?" The pirate exclaimed, eyes wide in shock.
"Greetings. I am in a dire situation and I had to find a hiding place as soon as I could. I truly apologise if I intruded, but I am in deep trouble," he said honestly.
"I see, I can tell you're panicked. Not to mention, you look quite tired. Were you running in order to hide?" He asked
"I see. Well, it's a mighty shame to hear that about the other royals. You're a very selfless Prince, Jake. But we'll come back to all this. I'm Captain Toby Fox. This is the StingRay. Our ship. The others are running errands in the towns and cities and will be back before dark. For now, stay here with me. I'll go out and check up to see if any of the crew of the Captains are back. There, I can also see if there's trouble nearby and I can divert them away from here. Stay here and get comfortable, Jake. You could be here for a little while," Captain Toby said and he leaves.
"Extremely. On this ship, you're safe, Jake," Captain Toby nods truthfully.
"I am supposed to marry a Princess. But I am Gay, and I have mentioned this so many times to my family, too many to count. It does not make sense because I want to marry someone of the same gender as me, and the KINGS, all four of them, are Gay and married! I am not allowed to have the same because apparently it is 'royal rules'. The Kings and even my Prince and Princess siblings are causing me misery, saying I must marry this Princess and abide by the rules. It comes back to my family being greedy, being selfish. Being sexist and homophobic! They will not let me be happy and they do not care about my happiness. I deserve to have the same privilages as the others but due to 'royal rules', I cannot be happy. I cannot have the freedom and privilages I deserve. I am destined to live a life of misery and I do not deserve that. I do not want that for my life... so, I ran away. And that is why I have patrols of wild dogs after me..." Jake explained.
"They must be, considering they're preparing to," another said.
"I've got a funny feeling that they've been lying to us. I reckon Jake is with them," the guard said.
"You again!?" Tord barked
"Jake's here. Isn't he? You've been lying to us, haven't you?" One of the guards sneers
"Look, we don't know how many times we gotta tell you. We haven't seen Jake! We may have heard of him, but we've not seen him! Sheesh!" Shadow barked.
"You look refreshed. A lovely sight to see. I hope you're not too bothered by what's been going on, Jake. I can tell, you still seemed stressed," Shadow said cautiously
"I do not mind, Shadow. There is no need to apologise. I do not feel intruded when people stare. To be honest, as a royal, I am used to it. Everyone looks and stares at you as you walk on past. It is an everyday thing," he said softly.
