The Crystal Statue

The Crystal Statue

Jun 02, 2026

Ages ago, in a far away realm, there was a beautiful princess.

Her name was Crystalline and she had pink dress.

The princess was young, and kind, and loved by all.

She had many suitors in the royal ball.

The king was an honorable and loving man, he adored Crystalline.

A more loving father had never been seen.

The king's rivals however, were evil nobles with no honor.

They made sure the king was a goner.

The evil nobles all wanted the princess' hand,

so they could be king and rule the land.

But the princess thought this was very unfair,

so she up and vanished in thin air.

In her wake, only a crystal statue remained.

The crown no one attained.

One hundred and twenty three years went by, in gloom.

And a legend began to bloom.

It was said, one day, a brave knight would find the princess.

And he'd do it with finesse.

Her return would bring back peace and prosperity.

And do away with all the villainy.

The kingdom was ruled by vile tyrants, in rapid succession.

Leaving the people in severe depression.

With each passing day, the rich got richer and the poor got evicted.

If things could get worse, they did.

One day, a young treasure hunter came along, called Finn Brighteyes.

He told his friends, "We need to do what's right, guys!"

"I say we steal that statue, by golly! That'll teach those nobles," he said.

But his friends looked at him with underwhelming dread.

"Are you crazy? How the heck do you expect we do that, Finn?" they asked him.

"With MAGIK!" he replied, "It's and acronym."

He explained it to them, "It stands for My Amazingly Good Inside Knowledge."

He had worked in the castle at a young age.

And so, Finn came up with a plan and they snuck into the castle at night,

seeking to snatch the statue without a fight.

However, when they found the statue in the courtyard, it began to glow.

Finn was bewildered, but he handled it like a pro.

He kept his cool, as the statue beamed with magic and the crystal melted away,

revealing the princess inside, alive and okay.

It became quite clear to Finn that she had been inside that statue all along.

She had magical powers and they were quite strong.

With guards approaching, Finn had to come up with a plan B and quick,

If he didn't, his ass they would most certainly kick.

Finn and Princess Crystalline escaped the castle unharmed and unseen.

Finn's hide out was in the woods, next to a ravine.

Once they were finally safe, Crystalline asked Finn, "What year is it?"

When he told her she, she had a terrible fit.

Everyone she knew was long gone and her kingdom was a total mess.

That was something she would have to address.

The princess revealed that she had frozen herself with her own powers.

But she figured she'd be freed within a few hours.

All she needed was someone with honest eyes to look upon her and she'd be free.

As it turned out, it took much, much longer, you see.

With Finn's help, the princess made a brave journey, kingdom-wide,

looking for allies to take her side.

Rumors of her return spread and people came from around the kingdom to joined her.

And so, a revolution slowly began to stir.

When Crystalline returned to the castle, she had a loyal army under her command.

She went to the castle, with Finn, and they made a stand.

The kingdom's new regent refused the princess, he was as evil as his predecessors.

He ordered his guards to arrest his aggressors.

A battle ensued in the throne room, between the rebels and the guards.

But for the princess, defeat was not in the cards.

She fought bravely, with Finn at her side, and defeated the regent once and for all.

Over the regent's cowering figure, she stood tall.

Crystalline was crowned queen and she restored her kingdom to it's former glory.

But this was not yet the end of her story.

As she stood there, crown upon head, her love for Finn she did confess.

And so, their marriage, the priest did bless.

They lived quite happily ever after that day and their rule lasted many peaceful years.

The kingdom was once again filled with cheers.

And even long after their time, they were celebrated far and wide,

for the happiness of the people was never again put aside.
