Inksgiving 2023 Synopsis
An alien female (primiti) “Circe,” runs away from her perpetrator. She fears for her life and tries to remember everything.
We dive into a flashback of an unconscious Circe sleeping inside an abandoned apartment, on top of a crushed bathtub. She groggily wakes up and makes a horrific discovery that she looks exactly like a human being. She roams around a bit and decides to rest as her head hurts. She drifts to sleep, only to wake up by being ambushed by patrol officers.
Circe was easily subdued causing one of the officers, Taylor Welsch, to question this as Circe was much more competent. During captivity, the officers surround her in case of her possible break out. The head leader, James Cooke, wanted to make sure he was there when she woke up and accused her of being a heinous criminal. The medic, Needham, finds out that she sustained temporary amnesia resulting from a blow to the head, which is why she was not hard to capture. Cooke dismissed the group. Josh Dale, one of the officers, kidnaps another officer, Leonard Montgomery. Welsch, real name David Baker (Dave), a spy posing as an officer, reports back to his branch on his suspicion of Dale who planned on having Circe kill him. Meanwhile, Circe remembers bits of her memories.
Dale, along with his other clique of officers, was getting ready to sell Montgomery to human traffickers. A very tall mute man who can only speak through a device, shows up to obtain the purchase. But he refuses because every human Dale sends him is very ineffective. He proves his point by taking the lives of Dale’s group. None of them can avoid his basic attacks. Dale was about to retaliate but was seized by the mute man. Dale quickly devises a plan to sell the captured female alien instead. They agreed with the deal starting tomorrow. Josh kills Montgomery.
Circe dreams about her childhood, but then feels the mute man’s intimidating presence. She tries to warn Dave about a mute man roaming around the prison, but Dave flatly dismisses it. Then Circe brings up the location of a second basement that Dave does not recognize, which draws his interest. He launched a decoy and contacted another spy, Brooks, to help him lure attention away from other guards while Dave searched for the second basement.
Upon arrival, he found the dead bodies of Montgomery and Dale’s group. Dave was suddenly pinned down by Dale. Dale also had suspicions about Dave. The two got into an altercation until Cooke stepped in to help Dale. Cooke was revealed to be the mastermind behind the missing guards and prisoners. All of them were guards who used to be criminals, which disgusted Cooke. Dave made a break for it, fleeing from the two officers. Another officer who also partakes in Cooke’s scandals, was about to shoot Dave. Circe arrives between them resulting in the corrupted officer’s death as the bullet ricochets from her body back to his head.
As the prison undergoes a lockdown, Circe helps Dave get out of prison. Cooke and Dale make a crackdown on the two for Dave’s opticam.
Circe and Dave find refuge in another hideout with Needham (another of Dave’s accomplices). Needham welcomes Dave but is weary about Circe.
In another place, the Pitch Casino, the mute man named Plaegoes, has a meeting with a partner in crime, John Crowe about the deal and hears about a potential effective subject. He reveals himself to be of the same species as Circe.
Needham changes his tune on Circe when it is revealed how she saved Dave’s life. Circe remembers her real name, Cernanjiya. Dave discusses with his team about the matter now that he is with the alien. They had mixed feelings.
Back in the prison, Dale apprehended Brooks and demanded explanations. Brooks was beaten for information until he confessed everything. He was later killed.
Outside where Circe finds solace in staring at the moon, Dave joins in. Dave shares how humans have developed a strong animosity toward her kind due to Earth’s drastic permanent change that wiped out most of the world’s population which was heavily rumored to be done by an alien. What saved the remaining of the human population was a man-made planet, Daedalus. He noted it was not done by Circe since she may have been an infant when it took place.
Circe sensed an armed Cooke and Dale stalking them and brought other corrupted officers. Needham was killed by one of them from Cooke’s sniper. Dave and Circe got separated as Cooke dragged her away. Circe killed him using her ultrasonic screams and beat him to death. Dave sniped down Cooke’s sniper. Dale snuck into the hideout and shot Dave, fatally injuring him. Circe broke in and kicked Dale several meters away injuring him.
In Dave’s last words, he does not see Circe as an evil person, and thanks her for her efforts and calls her by her real name. Circe was devastated to see his passing until more of her memories came back with most of her experiences with humans. All her grief turned into indifference as she moved on.
Dale fled as he ran into Plaegoes. He shows Plaegoes Circe’s mugshot. Plaegoes changes plans as he kills Dale and keeps the money.
John sends Danya, a subordinate, after Plaegoes. Danya abruptly switched to another personality, Olek. Danya agrees with Olek to bring Plaegoes down.
Circe’s memories have started to recover more including her hatchling days eating her favorite treat, pearl berries, and the day humans almost killed her when she was a juvenile alien. Her fatal injuries resulted in her getting her brain switched into a human body with alien genes fused with it. She also remembers a male puppet flesh, Kopiece, complimenting her.
Olek carries a grudge against Plaegoes for his past mistreatment. To his surprise, he finds out that Plaegoes is going after a woman (Circe).
Dave’s group arrives to see him and others dead. They discussed alerting Daedalus, but their leader, Cassidy Jones, wanted to wait first. They split and head out to track the two down. Jones and Steiner will go after Josh while Mullens and Turner will go after Circe.
Circe detected Plaegoes once again and noticed him going after her. Frightened, she fled. Plaegoes nearly succumbs to his condition and quickly relieves it with a syringe. He doesn’t have many vials left.
Mullens and Turner lost track of Circe. Jones and Steiner found Dale dead. But they found another trail left behind by Plaegoes.
Circe finds herself unable to detect or use her ultra-sonic scream in which she refers the screams “singing.”
Jones’s group gathered and managed to track Circe down. The same plan ensues with Turner and Mullens going after Circe and Jones with Steiner finding Dale’s killer.
Circe’s capture was a failure after Turner recklessly tried to confront her. Jones and Steiner confronted Plaegoes which ended in disaster resulting in Steiner’s death and Jones being knocked out. Plaegoes detected Olek closing in on Circe.
Circe wishes to never see humans again as they bring up her trauma. Olek suddenly tries to seize her.
The story comes back to the first scene where Circe is chased by Olek. He injured and pinned her down and threatened Plaegoes to confront him right now.
Circe’s abilities recovered and she stunned Olek with her singing. Plaegoes arrives throwing Olek through the building using an ability to exceed his strength, Fierce Burner.
Circe was in great pain from her broken leg and mistaken Plaegoes for a human. As she prepares to sing, Plaegoes offers a pearl berry to her shock.
Plaegoes placed a sling on her leg and called her by her real name. He carries her away to the safety of his ship.
Mullens still waits for Jones’ orders but later is killed by Turner who reveals himself to be Kopiece.
One of Dave’s operative branches, Vanessa Williams, lost all contact with the other operatives. She wanted to contact Daedalus immediately despite it being against the law, due to going outside of a mission within less than a day without an order. Another operative, Thomas Duffy, stopped her. Their disagreement came to a halt when Duffy found an intruder. He placed the office on lockdown.
Olek wakes up and realizes the woman Plaegoes was protecting, is a puppet flesh like Plaegoes. He contacts John Crowe about the matter which caused Crowe much irritation.
As Plaegoes performed surgery on Circe while she underwent anesthesia, he reminisced about his own surgery by undergoing a brain transplant to a puppet flesh. He got rid of his alien body. A hatchling Circe was appalled by the drastic body change Plaegoes went through.
As soon as Circe’s surgery was a success, Plaegoes detected Olek approaching. Plaegoes confronts him. They brawled resulting in both injuries.
The fight was interfered with by their syndicates. Crowe wanted Plaegoes and Danya taken down. Plaegoes was knocked out and Olek, who as soon as switched to Danya, was pushed off the cliff. Circe wakes up and remembers Plaegoes and how much she loves him.
She tracks down Plaegoes only to find the syndicates. They all tried to kill her, but she proved herself to be capable of holding her own ground. The anesthesia eventually overwhelmed her. A syndicate was about to finish her off. Danya prevents the syndicate’s attack.
Danya warns them to leave. They ignored his demands and pursued their mission. Danya took down two of the syndicate causing the last one to abandon the mission.
As soon as Circe woke up, she was frightened by Danya’s presence. She calms down as soon as he poses no threat to her. She remembers Danya’s name and that he’s her childhood friend.
