“We have to be careful Lei. We can't trust them.”
“Says who, as I recall we're twins and you are only a minute older.” Leila sneers at me. “That isn't what I'm saying.”
“Oh then what are you saying?”
“I'm saying that these people seem shady, they find us on the street, take us in, and bring us on their journey home, only for us to find that their home is a really creepy and cold cave that looks like it has fangs.”
“So this is where our journey ends so you should be happy we finally have a family again Jay. Why can't you be happy for us.”
“Cause I thought we were each other's family.”
“We are but come on they have food & water and they are willing to take in two orphan girls off the streets no questions asked!” Lei yells at me.
“Hey! Is everything alright?”
“Yeah just fine!” Lei tells the guy. She has him charmed completely. With her looks she
could charm any man or even woman if she tried. Lei has our mother's hair, eyes and fragile bird-like build. Beautiful, short, blond hair with bright sky blue eyes. Whereas I take after our father with my long straight jet black hair, emerald green eyes and his lean build made for running, which in the last few years I've had to do a lot of.
“Now Jay. Lei snaps me out of my thoughts. “You are not going to do anything to jeopardize what we could have here.”
“You mean food, or that guy who is staring at you like a hungry wolf.”
“Haha, very funny he doesn't look like a hungry wolf, he looks like a handsome wolf but that isn't the reason I want to stay. We can have a family again, a normal life, not spending every day on the streets begging and stealing food just to survive.” I sigh.
“If this is what you want but if they pull one strange move then we are out.”
“IF that happens we run but you aren't going to hurt them, Jay promise me that at least.
“Unless it is absolutely necessary I won't hurt them but if they make a move against you then I'm slitting their throats.” Lei sighs.
“Alright but that won't happen. She says to me as she walks away.
