Saint Rose Graduation ball, An event where Noble people go to show off to the commoners of the school. Beautiful gowns and jewelry of various tones and colors adorned the halls of this event. Many people were saying goodbye to their friends and promising an invite to their house whenever a party was to be held. Many believed this event would go off without a hitch and the Queen bee would be calm. Oh, but they were so wrong about that.
Lady Catherine had planned to show off who she was, the daughter of the Duke of the East, and had adorned herself in the most expensive dress the kingdom had to offer. It was colored in a light pink pastel and decorated with fake roses along the bottom of the dress. Her bust had bright pink ribbons going down it, each with a ruby down in the middle of it. Diamonds were sewn around her waist. Catherine was Hoping to Catch the attention of the prince; finally, this was the final chance she felt, and she needed to be the attention of this ball. Which she did, but not in the way she would have hoped. Lord Nathan decided to reveal all she had done to Lady Athena, Hoping to get her punished.
“Is this true, Lady Catherine?” a blonde hair teen asked her; he was pretty good-looking and tall. He was Prince Nikola Vangough Mattine. But she couldn’t respond something was holding her tongue, and an eerie familiar feeling settled in her stomach like this had happened before.
“I…..I…….I…….I” was all she could muster.
“As you can see, your highness, she can’t defend what she’s done,” lord Nathan exclaimed. He was a young man about the same height as the prince and looked similar. (Dopplagnlers) But they were just friends who had found each other in the academy.
‘Oh’
Catherine thought; she now realized why it felt familiar. She had Once read a book called “A Stranger's Kiss.” The story revolved around Lady Athena and her falling in love with the Prince when they were in the academy. But of course, she had a bully, Lady Catherine, Herself. What was happing now was the end of the book One When She died due to stupidy and jealousy.
Lady Catherine was too into her thoughts to hear what lord Nathan was telling the prince. The prince was mad, of course. He had never paid attention to the lady Catharine and had found her quite annoying whenever she tried to talk to her, always talking down about commoners and How their problems shouldn’t be the issues of the nobles.
He got mad after hearing Everything that she had done. Athena wasn’t cruel or mean. She was kind and gentle and never Mistreated someone. Whenever he caught someone seeking ill of her, he would tell them off. Athena Would usually tell him not to worry too much about what others said. She never told him of anyone bullying her. He slowly approached Lady Catherine; he just wanted her to feel a fraction of what he had put Lady Catherine through. He raised his hand And wasn’t going to hold back.
As his hand was coming down, someone caught his hand. It was smaller than his and adorned with a White glove. It held his arm hard, and he felt a slight tremor in their grip. It was at this point that Lady Catherine came back to her senses. She was startled when she saw how close the prince's hand was to her face and saw a smaller one holding his hand back. They Both turn to see who it was.
It was a woman Catherine could only assume based on the fact she had on a dress. Her face was covered by a full face mask adorned with jewels; the rest of her head had black clothes hiding away any hair or skin.
“You should never Hit a woman Prince Nickola,” They spoke. It was sweet and quiet, But their voice had a hint of anger. They threw His hand down back to his side. This startled the prince. He didn’t like when his sister was mad at him, and he could feel the anger coming from her. Although he wasn’t close to her as he was when he was younger, he still wanted her to be proud of him.
“Yes, I understand... It seems I let my anger get the best of me; excuse My Behaviour, Princess Charlotte.”
‘The Crown Princess is here!!!! She wasn’t at this event, according to the book??’
“I understand you want to defend the honor of the lady, but that is something she has to do; you just have to support her in her decisions,” The princess told him.
‘Still just as ever,’ the prince thought.
“AHEM! Your Majesty Lady Cathrine still needs to be punished for her actions against Lady Athena. Lord Nathan interrupted. He hoped the prince had slapped her, but he understood the princess's stance.
“You are correct, lord Nathan; she should be punished,” she responded to him; she looked throughout the room and saw many people hiding small cruel smiles. “But If you are going to punish her, then you need to push anyone else who bullied Lady Athena Because I honestly don’t believe she was alone in her actions.
“Your majesty, “ Nathan exclaimed “ Are you sure you want to do that? Many of those people are children who will secede from their parents,” He whispered to her.
“Sir Nathan, I don’t care what position they will hold in the future..No one gets to treat anyone less than a living being.”
“Wait!! Your majesty,” Lady Athena spoke, “I don’t want anyone to get punished; I just want to move past that.” The princess looked at her and nodded.
“But Athena!!” Lord Nathan interjected
“Nathan, I understand what you want to do, But this is my decision, and I don’t appreciate that you spang this at the ball. Athena told him. Nathen sighed and just nodded his head at her words.
“Then we shall do as you say.” the Princess told Lady Athena.
“Your Highness,” A voice spoke. They turned to look who it was, and it was a Young woman with red hair and red eyes. Lady Catherine felt like she knew her but from where? “We must head back to the castle; it's getting late” The princess nodded at her and said goodbye to everyone.
Later that night, When Cathrine went to her room, she found a letter from the princess Inviting her to a tea party at her palace, the SunRose.
Catherine thought about some things in this world that didn’t happen in the book, such as the crown princess being at the graduation ball and her outfit. Her book description was a beautiful woman with long purple hair and silver eyes, just like the prince. (he looked more like the king) Another thing she noticed was the fact that there weren’t any slaves in the kingdom. In the book, it was something that Athena was fighting to get rid of. ‘It might mean that another person was reborn,’ she thought. ‘It might be that Red eye Women. I am sure She was mentioned somewhere in the book.
