Kang Seungho kneeled, faced down above the mud and his arms limp in front of him covered in bruises; red and blue markings covering his face and body, Seungho awoke, catching a glimpse of himself in the puddle from the heavy rain that tasted salty on his split lip. 

Seungho could barely make out a mumbling close to him, through the pitter patter of the rain and the slushing of boots pacing back and forth in the puddles.

“…I need you to join me, Kang Seungho, join me, this entire country could be in our grasp…”

“So? Let me hear your response” He stopped pacing in his place and turned to look down at the injured Seungho.

“...’ Kang Seungho mumbles to himself, unable to make out words past his bruised lip and the sound of the rain.

“Huh?” Alex Lim inches towards Seungho, crouching to hear his answer while grinning with certainty Seungho won’t deny such a tempting offer.

“...” Seungho murmuring in pain

“Speak up” 

Seungho swings his head back, splashing his wet hair in Alex’s face and spitting in his face, Alex flinches before wiping it with his palm. Seungho is still unable to move his arms,yet a smile appears on his face.

 “HAHAHA!” Alex straightens his back standing straight and backs away from Seungho, turning away and slicking his hair back, laughing uncontrollably. 

“You really are entertaining, Seungho”

“But it’s truly a shame” Alex echoes before turning around to face Seungho, who was still smiling cheek to cheek, in turn Seungho shakily lifts his right hand revealing his middle finger.

Alex pivots on his right leg, spinning and kicks out with his left leg, striking the smiling Seungho’s jaw with the heel, knocking him out over his knee face first into the mud, startling the bird spectators taking refuge in the trees.
