Hemlock never thought he'd get the chance to participate in a Sync, until he finally drew a lucky number... barely. He meets a handsome person, spends a dreamlike week with them, then goes on his merry way, back to his life scrubbing floor and panels on the Zvenigrad, the ship carrying the last of the human race in space. His days used to consist of work, daydreaming about being a pilot, and wondering about the sync. Then his best friend goes missing, which leads him into answers he never should have discovered.
