I awaited my execution at dawn. Just as though a child waited for daybreak to arrive on Christmas just waiting for the joy of opening perfect packages of treats. Only my gift was for the sweet arms of death to embrace me and relive me of my sins. The year is 1845 on a chilly winters night. I sat alone in a rustic cell with one bared off window to the sky. As I gased up to the clouded sky of Nantes waiting for the time to arrive. Whould God allow me to be cleansed from such a sin, of escaping the pitiful lands of my former family? Only time may tell. At least the moment came. I had never been more prepaired for dead in my life. The wardens walked each of the prisoners to their desognated execution station. I soon came to learn that I would be hung. As they wrapped the prickeled rope around my neck, I said what I belived to be my last prayer. At least I would die unashamed of what I had done. After all, I could have been killed for witchcraft, theft, oreven murder. So I still would keep the pride in my final breath. The stage had been set, everything was in position, just as I heard the sound of traveler passing by.
"Good evening Lads and Lasses," The traveler spoke. The man appered to be in his twentys with curly red hair and blue eyes. I assumed he was an Irish man from the way he talked and his rugged clothing."Might I ask what profound wreakage your' doing to these poor souls?"he went on to say. That man was clearly off his rockers interupting an event such as this.
"How poposterous it is that you disturb my God forsaken execution! I am finally being relived from my sins!" I bursted aloud.
"Sins?" he answered,"why we all have sins dearie, don't get ahead of yourself. Everyone here has commited a sin, especially those execututioners. How many lads do you think they've murdered in cold blood, and then went to the pub to get a drink to celebrate a good days work?"
He may be a fool but he did have a point. But I didn't change my mind on wanting to be properly exiled. And who am I, a mere peasnt with a death sentance,to be questing a suspected foreigner.Though his next line through me completly off guard.
"Tell you poor lads and lasses what,I myself will save you of your trubbles."Our executioners didn't waste time pointing their spears of rightusness at him. What they should have done when the shady character came here.Though the only reaction he gave was a smirk as he said,"French lads, meet my crew."
