Several days ago, Noah had been grinning because she had sent a letter to Selwo Zoo fora job to work with the few energetic red pandas that were living there, but annoyingly the reply hadn't arrived yet and it was terrible.Terrible waiting anxiously.Terrible if she didnt get in, just awful.
A few minutes later her mother (Maya) shouted from the shallow,wooden tiled kitchen.
"Noah dear, the mailman has been!"
The excitement that Maya carried rapidly spread to Noah.
She quickly gathered all of her energy and sprinted over to the rusty, freshly-painted-blue mailbox standing weakly outside their drive.Her heart had traveled to her mouth and her legs were shivering as if she was cold.
There was a giant classic-brown box in it.
Why in such a big box? She wondered, suspecting it was the reply.
She had overthought it, because right in front of her eyes (On the box of course) was a neon green post it not saying:MAYA HORIZONS.
Of course it wasn't the letter if it was in such a big box, what was she thinking; her heart had now gathered to her toes.
Out of the blue, while she was disapointingly and slowly walking away as if she was a sad turtle, she caught a glimpse of a thin piece of of paper while she was closing the rusty metal lid: a letter!
She was screaming with happiness on the inside of her brain, but not as much as before.
Perhaps, this was it? She thought again, gathering a little more confidence.
Carefully she lay her shaking hands on the letter and it read ACCEPTINCE LETTER FOR NOAH HORIZONS FOR SELWO ZOO.
Her pupils widened as much as her gasping mouth as she ran inside getting the suddent hesitation to rip in apart.
She handed the parcel to her mother and threw herself next to her mother, onto the sofa.
She finally tore apart the letter as if she was a dog digging its claws into the filthy mud ground to find the hole where it had hidden its bone.
She read the following words

We are delighted to inform you that you have been accepted for the job.
Please come in the following evening at 3:00 and meet me at the office.
Dont be late.
You shall be working with young Emma Mills with her duties including being red panda keeper.

Noah smiled, Thinking again about the roaming lions in selwo.
