Chapter 1: Best Date Ever!? He went Flying!!
"Aw, come on Itsuki, we just need one more person." Toma cried.
"Why in the hell do I have to come?" I asked.
"Well the girl I have my eye on, will only come if I bring a friend to hang out with her's." said Toma, "So she won't be the odd man out in our group date."
"You've got to be kidding me Tomato!!" I yelled, " Why can't her friend stay home or something, why drag me into this."
Yes why drag me into this!? I just went on lots of blind dates for you idiots last week. Hell even the dates with the girls I really did like turned south in the first three minutes when they first glance at me. I walk over to a mirror on the wall and stare at it. It's not like I'm a bad looking guy. Let's just say lots of women don't want a man who's at least the same or smaller size than them.
I hate my height.
"Suki, SUKI!!" yelled Toma and I jumped looking at my cellphone.
"Why are you yelling!?" I screamed.
"Will you please come?" asked Toma, "I'll let you call me Tomato that I hate so
"No, nothing you say can make me go." I said.
"I'll pay for everything and buy you a new cell phone." answered Toma.
"Deal," I said quickly.
"Thank you, Itsuki, I'm going to call her to give her the heads up!!" yelled Toma and he hanged up the call.
"Must be giggling like a school girl dialing her number," I chucked.
Funny, we are all around our late 20's and they still do things like group dates like high schoolers. Out of the five of us, three of us either own or are CEOs of our own businesses. I work for my childhood friend and boss, Toma Johnson at a editing company called Set'N-Stone. We publish all kinds Novels, Graphic Novels, stories for newspapers and magazines, you know the works. Some of our writers will even come and help out when they are not too busy with their own work.
"Might as well take a shower and head to bed," I sighed as I grabbed a towel and headed for the bathroom. After the shower, I head to my closet and picked out clothes for the following day and set them on a chair. I'd collapsed on my bed with the back of my right hand on my forehead.
"I just hope this girl will overlook my size and just wants to have fun," I said, smirking, "..because Toma is paying!" I closes my eyes and went to sleep.
Across town in a big apartment near a lake, inside a dark room where the only light is a computer monitor sits a dark figure typing fiercely. The buzzing sound of the nearby cellphone pulls it out of it's mode as it stops and stares at it. It slowly picks up the phone and looks at the picture of the caller, then it answers the call.
"Yo," It answered as it gets up to turn on the room light.
"Hi Tammy, guess what I did!?" yelled the caller, "Guess, guess!"
"You finally stab that Cynthia-tramp in the neck with that pen you always gripped on eachtime you see her..." she honestly replied while turning on the lights.
"Tamara!" the caller answered quickly, "No!"
"You slash that cheating ex-boyfriend's tires but left one intact so he wouldn't collect insurance." Tamara alleged, leading on the wall.
"I wish, but no remember that Johnson guy I told you about?" said the caller.
"Yes Allyson, you said and I quote 'If the guy up there creates a man for me, he would be that sexy young-looking Jesse Mccartney man over there." sighed Tamara.
Allyson giggles," Yes but I also gotten you a date for tomorrow."
"Pardon?" questioned Tamara.
"Well it's a group date and I didn't want to go alone with those other vamps and..." Allyson responded until cut off.
"And you couldn't have asked that guy for a solo date." Tamara replied.
"Well I did but he said they have been doing this since middle school and I didn't want to sound like a party-pooper," said Allson, "Plus I don't feel right on my first dates and you know that...I'm sorry."
"Ugh no, don't be sorry," grunted Tamara, "Does he know the guy you two are setting me with?"
"Yes, his best-friend since childhood and he is kind of like you being dragged into our crazy worlds." Allyson laughed.
Tamara looks at the clock on the wall and sighs. "Okay let me get ready for tomorrow, make sure you have your GPS on your cell so I can track you." yawned Tamara.
"Okay and good night, see you tomorrow." said Allyson
"Goodnight," answered Tamara as she hangs up and looks at her computer, "Well I have done a years work on my book, I can at least have a bit of fun."
She saved her work and logs off the computer. She walks over to her bed and collapses faces first into her bed and falls asleep.
