DREAM

I have a dream.

that is what

Martin Luther King Jr

said to the crowd;

Why did he have a dream?

Can we have those dreams?

or is dreaming limited

to special people?

or to famous people?

or can I, or you, have a dream?

Should we start having these dreams?

Can you choose

whether to have these dreams?

Or are they something who just happen.

Like how leaves fall

or how trees wave in the wind?

I think,

I will have a dream

Tonight

And, I will change the world…

HOMEWORK

Homework

I'm homework stuck.

Sitting at a desk.

Staring at a wall

Homework stuck.

Staring at my pen

maybe if I stare hard enough

something will appear

on the paper.

Scribbles on scribbles

Pen on paper

Mind gone blank

Ticking of a clock

Homework stuck

VICTORIOUS

Fear not, dear child

For I shall return

From the perils of school I shall emerge

victorious...

Snarling teachers I shall leave in my wake

As I walk out of the treacherous castle

Victorious

I shall return with my head held high

Homework strewn behind me

Scuffed shoes standing proudly

against the scarred pavement

Victorious.
