In this world, everyone has a spirit creature living within them. But for the only daughter of the king, there is something different about her spirit; she has not one but four spirits residing within her, and not just any spirits these are the Four Sacred Beasts/Gods of her world: The spirits of the Phoenix, the dragon, the tiger, and the turtle, all reside within her own being; each with their own domain that they rule with their godly powers.
The Phoenix, Suzaku, is the guardian of the south and bringer of summer; her power of fire enables her to create and manipulate the flames of the world. She often wears a long red kimono embellished with gold threads and jewels that represent her element. Her long fiery sunset hair is always top-half tied in a bun decorated with gold hair sticks and pins and the bottom-half is combed to a soft feathery cape. Her eyes are a golden hue, which is rumored to burn through a mortal’s soul with one glance. She is one of the more gentle-hearted of the Four Gods; her compassion for life is what keeps her from burning the land to a smoldering wasteland.
The dragon, Seiryuu, is the guardian of the east and bringer of spring; his powers come from his will to fight and defend his dominion. He is a warrior guardian, wearing a light blue and silver kimono designed to appear as waves or scales of a dragon on the torso and sleeves, a dark blue hakama, and his dragon blade sword on his hip. His long silver hair is always tied in a high ponytail, and his piercing grey eyes show the signs of mercilessness in and out of battles. He is one of the more spiteful of the Four Gods; he’s compassionate side is rarely touched by mortals, and it is said that he would rather go to war than save a starving village. He truly is the most feared of all the Four Gods.
The turtle, Genbu, is the guardian of the north and the bringer of winter; his powers of waters make him one of the timider of the Gods. His slightly over-weight body is covered by a robe that exposes this torso and prayer beads that are kept around his large neck. His calm demeanor and gentle heart make him more approachable than the other Four Gods. His robe and prayer beads are similar to that of a monk that roams the countryside of the world; only his tan belly and chest are the only parts of him not covered, and his bald head and happy expression give him the appears of a monk.
The tiger, Byakko, is the guardian of the west and the bringer of autumn; his powers of manipulating the earth, also represents the strength of his stubbornness. He is a muscular being with scars covering his entire back, chest, legs, and arms; his abdomen and his upper thighs are the only things covered by a tattered loincloth-like article of clothing. His skin was slightly tan, but his scars were a darker shade than his actual skin tone, giving the illusion that he has tiger stripes on his body. He is a fierce warrior, second to Seiryuu, yet just as ferocious and merciless in a battle.
