Nathan Pool drove up to his new House, an old run-down house sitting on a hill. It was a very VERY big house, but it was old, creepy, and covered in dust. Also there were rumors that it was HAUNTED! But it was the only house he could afford, so he took it. They actually gave him $5 to buy it. Nathan shivered a bit looking up at the house. He wasn’t known for being confident or brave. Heck, he’s a 20 year old guy and he’s not super muscular. He grabbed his luggage and walked inside, tripping over some loose boards on his way in. Surprisingly, it wasn’t super dusty and dirty inside. And it was pretty warm, despite it being a dark and stormy night. As he walked upstairs, struggling to carry his luggage, he looked down the hall, to see a single room.
“W-well...guess I should find a Bedroom…” Nathan said to himself, nervously. “Wonder if that’s one.”
As he reached for the doorknob, he felt a chill in his spine. He hesitated, as he slowly reached out and grabbed the doorknob. He steeled himself, slowly twisted...and pushed the door open...coming face to face with...a green-skinned woman doing her hair...hol up. The Girl had some bone showing through her shiny green skin, and her hair was tangled and messy. Thinking back to the video games he’s played since...forever...he knew what he was looking at...it was...IT WAS...okay it’s a Zombie.
“Hm?” The Zombie Girl turned around, seeing Nathan.
They both just kinda...stared at each other for a second, before Nathan slowly shut the door. Nathan thought for a moment, then broke out into a sweat.
“W-was...was that a Zombie-” Nathan started to say, before being cut off by a fist coming through the door.
The Zombie girl hissed, as Nathan squealed and ran, carrying his Luggage with him. As he went down the stairs, he tripped and fell, landing on top of his luggage. He was startled by the sound of a Wolf howling loudly in the distance, making him jump to his feet, grab his stuff, and run.
“Th-Th-That was a freaking Zombie!” Nathan exclaimed to himself. “I-I gotta hide!”
He opened a closet nearby, only to find a skull inside.
“AAH-ohh...oh whew…” Nathan sighed, catching his breath. “That startled me…”
The Skull turned to him.
“...Um...do you know where my Body is?” The Skull asked.
Nathan screamed and ran again.
“...Okay thanks anyway.” She sighed.
Nathan ran into a room and barricaded the door. He stumbled back, trying to catch his breath, and reflect on what the hell just happened. He saw a Zombie, then saw a Skeleton, and heard what he assumed to be a Werewolf howling in the distance, based on all the random crap he just saw a moment ago. He looked around to see he had stumbled into a bedroom.
“Well...that’s convenient…” He said to himself. “I...I need to lay down…”
Nathan laid down on the bed and drifted off to sleep fairly quickly. Meanwhile, in the Lobby, the Skeleton and Zombie came together. Quite literally for the Skeleton.
“Who’s that weird Human?” The Skeleton Girl asked. “Have you seen him before, Rottie?”
“No, I haven’t…” The Zombie replied. “But I think it has something to do with this…”
She took out the deed that she found in Nathan’s car, showing that he had bought the house.
“O-oh!” The Skeleton Girl exclaimed. “So that means he’s the new house owner?”
“Yes, White.” Rottie replied. “Hmm...he shut himself in that room…wait...isn’t that Emmie’s room?”
“...uh oh.” White replied.
Nathan was awoken by the sound of the window sliding open. He squirmed a little, then opened his eyes to see an incredibly pale face staring down at him from above. He looked up, frozen in fear for a moment…
“...Boo.” The ghostly figure said.
Nathan shrieked and jumped out of bed. He went to jump out the window, but ended up jumping away from it when what looked like a large dog leaped through the window, on all fours. He unblocked the door and went to run out, but stopped seeing the Zombie and Skeleton from before in the doorway. He stumbled backwards into a corner, whimpering as they came closer…and closer...and closer...and-
“Welcome to the House!” They all exclaimed in unison.
“...huh?” Nathan said, teary eyed from his fear.
“M-my name is Rottie.” The Zombie said.
“My name is White!” The Skeleton said.
“I’m Emmie~” The Ghost said.
“U-uh, I’m Matt…” The Werewolf said, sheepishly.
“What’s your name?” They asked him.
And then he passed out.
