Starved Of Happiness (BL)

The Closet In Which My Mother Lied

The Closet In Which My Mother Lied

Jul 23, 2019

All my life I’ve been living a lie.

Ah, not surprised I’m adopted by how much love they’ve given me these past 16 years of life I’ve lived.

“Here comes the honor roll student, President of the student council, and a leader to all of his classmates...Aaron Lee!”

The audience roars with applause from the statement made by our strict principle.

And still no attention.

Not even a glance my way.

I’m pretty sure she came just to not seem like I’m being neglected.

I go up to get my certificates for academic achievement..highest average of core classes..blahblahblah.

What does it matter anyways?

It’s not like she’ll care.

I could literally be an astronaut president who transfers all the Earth recipients to live in a town I created on THE MOON, and she still wouldn’t give a damn.

Ah, like I was saying earlier.

I’m adopted.

My mother is a poor minimum wage restaurant waiter in the city of Minneapolis, MN.

According to my father who I came in contact with recently to find out why she hates me, stated “So basically fella, your Mom’s momma came to town wondering why she had no husband or kids yet at 26. Not having the guts to tell come out yet, she made a quick lie and adopted a kid not realizing how much money or time it takes.”

Wait so that means...

“I was literally used as a cover up for my mom’s sexuality?”

Damn, low blow mom.

“Yessiree my son.”

I suddenly felt uncomfortable.

I haven’t been addressed that way in years and I especially don’t want to be addressed that way by the person who abandoned me in an orphanage.

“She couldn’t bring you back obviously.” He went on complaining on how it was a rash decision and how it ruined our lives.

He hasn't been in my life for 16 years! Bringing me to an orphanage ruined it first, even before I met Tracy.

I started to get flashbacks of the orphanage but quickly threw those back deep inside my brain.

“Uhm well I’ll be going I have to get to school.” I left the coffee shop well on the verge of tears.
