Soon after we got back, Mevis fell sick, probably from the after effect of the contract. I sat beside her, waiting for her to recover. Soon, there was a crash from outside, Perry was about to shout when he was knocked out. I felt a heat signature nearing us.

I just waited.

Soon, a masked man entered the room, with a taser and knife. I got up from my seat and asked, "Can you tell me your name? "

"Why? " He replied.

"Never mind then. " I waved my own question away. "So, Kevin, what are you doing here? "

The masked man took a step  back and demanded, "H-How did you know? "

I smiled and moved my chair. I sat back down and crossed my leg. I looked at him and said, "Your voice is exactly the same. What did you expect? "

Kevin shook what I just said aside and shouted, "Move aside, Franklin! Mark wants Mevis, so step aside! "

I looked at the ceiling, then sighed. "Don't feel like it. "

Kevin charged at me, taser pointed. Sitting down, I kicked his wrist, possibly breaking it. Kevin jumped back and clutched his left wrist. I continued sitting, still looking at him. I asked, "Hey, Kevin, what are you doing? "

He screamed and threw his knife at me.

The knife dug itself into my chest. I pulled it out, the metal blade of the knife melted. I threw the handle of the knife back at Kevin. I told him, "Just leave, man. Go whine to Mark or something, I don't care. Just also tell him that if he tries anything funny, I won't hesitate to kill him. "

Kevin just ran away. I sighed and continued waiting.

Mevis woke up and asked if anything happened during her rest. I laughed and just assured her nothing happened.

"So what is that puddle of metal? " She asked.

"Um... " I replied. "Just... A spoon that I melted by accident...? "

She accepted my explanation and left her room, just to see Perry recovering. I followed after her. Perry excused himself to receive a call. He whispered, his face had a look of worry. He turned and said, "The Sloan family is planning to visit for dinner tonight. "

"That's a pleasure. " I told him.
