I have traveled all around the globe with my campaign; seeking haunted relics and new adventures. I've met interesting folks from the no man's lands to the ground of dead empires... But just that, my life was simple, one in a kind I must say, but simple. I never found a place to call home so I decided when I finished my studies to go out there to find that one spot I could feel warm in my chest and rest finally.

My adventures were many and my experiences could probably fill out plenty of empty pages, but this is the first time I take some ink to write them down after all these years... I grew up since the day I put a step out of my cabin in the woods, I met the hunger and loneliness of my own self, but nothing prepared me for her.

She, the princess from under the mountain; is the most beautiful and outstanding woman in this world; there's no one like her, no one's alike. Her beauty stands out from every sunrise or sunset I have ever seen... No landscape has the shine her eyes have, no wind has ever made leaves dance like her hair does when a storm is on the way. It's hilarious, decades of experiences, a lifetime of discovering something new around here to just find myself writing for the first time about her.

But how I wouldn't, her skin reflects the universe above us, nature has amazed me again with the way she stares at the moon before finding some rest by her rock. I wonder if her voice may sound like thunders when she doesn't whisper calling out my name in the mornings.

I've never stood in the same place as I am doing right now, but even when I plan to move on, the idea of seeing her again makes me stay just another day... And I know she thinks the same, or well, I wish, because she awaits for me to tell her about my journeys; the only person who's really interested in what I have to say. She really likes when I sit by the mountain's edge with some books I found in my collection.

I don't know if she really understands the way I am like, but suddenly, after I told her the tale of an impossible romance and the way the main characters ended up being married and living in the forest, she asked me about the rings, ''Why'd the main character's put something on their finger?'' She whispered like a soft breeze. I tried to explain the best I could but I think I'm not good at it, I said something like it was a connection, I said to her we come to this world alone and freewill, doomed to the eternal doubt of being by our own forever until you find someone who makes you want it to be closer, and closer, hugs are not even equal to the burning emotion of being with your loved one. So, if you're lucky enough your feeling will be the same as that person, and with some time, there will be the day you decide you want to share everything, but everything is not enough... You start with your plants, maybe later on with a pet, then a place, and when you have no more to share... You will want to share your whole life.

Life has no shape, no color, you can't hold it; in a poetical way of course... So there come the rings, a promise of trust meaning we haven't found what else to give but our own existence and being. I told her I don't really know if that's the true meaning of it, but at least, that's what I would like them to be, or maybe... What I'd like to experience.

I expected a laugh as usual when I got emotional talking about things alike, but I found the greatest expression of emotion in her eyes when I looked up. I thought maybe that was her favorite story so far, I wonder how many nights she stood awake asking the stars if there was someone in the whole universe the same as her, if she would be alone until the burning sun is gone. No one will ever know that feeling, no one has even a sand grain of that idea. She calls the Mountains her home but that's all she knows, she has never stepped out of them, I don't know if it's fear of the unknown or the fact that the world is small for her.

It's so curious, the world I put my life on to explore in a way of freedom is a prison for her. And I know it the way she points at the horizon by the sunset, asking me if she someday will be able to reach the sun before it's gone. I didn't want to kill such a beautiful idea with knowledge so all I said was ''Let's find out one day''.

Lord... I could write all day long, this is something I've never felt before. By the morning she was excited to show me something and my curiosity started to itch, but all she said was ''You'll need to wait until the sun is gone''. She played me, I was dying to know what it was... It was the first time she had something for me except for her wonderful company.

I was fixing my old watch when she called me, I went out to find her nervous... All she did was show me his hand and a giant silver ring on her finger. I was speechless but I understood; I went to my campaign and after looking for a while I found an old ring my mother gave me years ago... I've found it, my home.
