Tales of Thaloria

Hey guys my name is Hamza. An upstart author and 3rd year Software Engineering undergraduate from Toronto Canada. This will be my first work that I will be publishing and look forward to any and all constructive feedback to improve the story as it goes along. The general storyline has already been planned out, but I have to still further refine a lot of ideas, arcs, and characters. I thank all who give this a chance as every view will serve as motivation to continue the novel and update faster.

As stated in the summary this story will be a sort of a dark fantasy and adventure gig. It follows our protagonist Lyra Dawnshaper and her companions on a quest to unravel the truths behind the dark order known as the Soul Harvesters and retrieve not only her soul but all the vicitms of the harvesters. The journey to bring an end to these harbringers of pain and chaose will test their loyalties, willpower, and strength, as well as forging irreplacable bonds of comraderie while coming across many mystical and technological marvels.

My main goal of this novel is to write something that can appeal and resonate with diverse audiences, bring intriuge, and apply proper foreshadowing to ensure the story has a clean flow and all the dots connect. I don't like to leave unanswered questions so I hope by the end of this tale all your doubts will be cleared. Thanks again and look forward to ch 1.

"What is lost can be found, what is broken can be fixed, ... or replaced"

Dark, indifferent, ominous, and inevitable throughout times long past of Thaloria these mysterious beings of a solemn dark order have walked the plains of its mystical realm harvesting the souls of those unfortunate to cross their path.
The times for fear and anger were thought long past, as the harvesters have done this dance for millennia, Thalorians have long grown use to such tragedies and have treated them as normal. One loses themselves along with their soul, joining the seemingly immortal legion as a mindless slave, and any brave or foolish enough to challenge them have met the same fate.

So, no one looked the other way when news of a joint Elvin-human settlement out in the sticks was ravaged. Perhaps a few sent some half-baked prayers to all the fallen. ALL were supposed to fall, weren’t they? Then, why is there a certain half-blood pubescent teenager running around the lands campaigning for others to join her in a quest to free the souls (and hers included)?

Lyra Dawnshaper was a girl who adored the stars. She loved listening to the tales the village elders told her of mighty dragons who soar the sky, ancient existences who have gone to slumber, and a particular fairy tale involving humanity’s arrival to Thaloria. Nonetheless, she was content to stay in her peaceful village and accompany her mother and younger siblings as the dutiful eldest daughter.
Her village was her world, her village was her Thaloria. So, if you asked her if she would think twice on embarking on a seemingly pointless journey for a sliver of chance to save her world, she would’ve said yes in a heartbeat. Although she lost her soul something else has awakened inside of her, may all the Soul-Harvesters beware!
