《TAMING THE EMPIRE》
Chapter 1
"Hope!!" Wang Li shoughts
"Li, ow, what happened to your hair?" Cheng Hope wonders.
"This time I am gonna kill you" Li angrily jumps on top of Hope.
"Aaah!" Hope screams while Li pulls his hair.
Mr Cheng (who is Hope's father) opens the door, "Uh..Wang Li, Hope..what are you two doing?" Mr Cheng surprised. "Mr Cheng, well this lovely red hearded son of yours, made me look like a beautiful monk advertisement" says Li with a ironic expression.
"Ow, no wonder why your bold" Mr Cheng smirks
"Father, please make her understand that the potion ingredient needed long black hair in order to work" Hope worried about Li punching him to death.
"Well, did she even give you the permission to cut all her hair?" Says Mr Cheng
"Um, well, yes, but she didn't say all of it, but at that time I didn't have a choice" Hope responds
"So I see, but you do deserve to get punished for your mistake.Li can you punish him in a way that doesn't cause him physical injury?" Mr Cheng asks with a calm voice.
"Hmm, I guess, but my hair will take weeks to grow back, and note this, I am never being your potion partner again!" Says Li while she gets off Hope.
Li leaves Cheng Hope's bedchamber and goes to the supply chamber of the Cheng house. "Mr Cheng, Hope's mother is western, correct?" Li asks, "Well, yes..., you already know that" Mr Cheng responds.
"I was wondering if you have some wigs that I can wear until my hair grows back?" Li ask."Ow, yes, yes, I remember there's one wig that I still kept around here some where ,when I visited the western area. I'll bring it to you tomorrow, when I return from work" Mr Cheng responds.
"Very well then, I'll be on my way back to my place, tell Hope I left since I'm still mad at him" says Li while leaving the supply chamber.
Later that day, Mr Cheng enters Hope's bedchamber, "Hope, have you completely lost your mind, cutting your best friends hair? This is the main reason why you two will never be more than friends, because you still treat each other the same as when you were kids" says Mr Cheng with a tired expression. "But she's the one who I agreed, I just took advantage of that" says Hope. Mr Cheng sighs "Huh...whats so special about this project potion anyway?"
"Well, the students that pass this project will be the chosen ones to travel to Qiao Xiao kingdom" says Hope.
"Ow,,..isn't that place a breathing zone for all the evil sorcerers that destroy empires?" Mr Cheng surprised.
" Well, yes, thats why, thanks to Li's hair added to this potion, I can guaranty that we'll pass this test perfectly" Hope stands up and continues "After this potion is submitted to the Yung Academy, she will thank me, don't worry she won't stay angry for long...this might be the only chance to find out what happened to mother and for Li to find her lost family "
The next day, Wang Li travels to the Cheng house
"Hope!" Li opens the door. "Li, come on I have something for you" says Hope. Li follows Hope up to the back gardens were she sees a basket with a little paper on top of it with her name written on it."Is that for me ?" Li confused. "Offcourse, don't you want to open it?" Hope gives Li the basket.
Li opens the basket with a smile on her face but...
"Huh... What is this?" Li confused
"Its a hat, made it myself, I kinda felt bad about cutting all of your hair last night, so, I thought you would like it" says Hope.
Li was shocked, not only did the hat look rediculous, but it had litle holes on it too, Li confidently looked at Hope and said " Hope, this is well, awful, to say the least, all I am hoping for is to get my hair back, you read scrolls a lot right, you must know how to cast a spell strong inuff to make my hair grow faster, correct?" , Hope responds "Well, I guess I can try, since its almost time to travel to the Academy to submit the potion"
Hope takes out the spell scrolls ,reads the spells and casts them with his hand and aims at Li's face which surprisingly makes Li grow only long mustache hair "What the? Aaaaah!! HOPE !!" Li screams, "Okay okay sorry ,I'm not that good at aimimg, lets try it again" says Hope.He casts the spell five times and it still doesn't work properly, instead the spell gives Li one single long hair, a mustache or leaf hair ,over and over again.
"Huh, forget this! All these hair styles are worse than wearing that monstrosity of a hat you made, and we're even running late now, lets go!" Says Li while putting on the rediculous hat and grabbing Hope's hand."Well if you feel comfortable putting the hat, thats fine by me" Hope smirks.
"Huh, all I see in your future is me holding a rope, sword, and digging a deep hole" says Li as they both walk out of the garden.
