In the villiage of Herron, a pack of lycanthropes lived. They followed the traditional ways of life. One of the most important ones was the concept of the Destined Mate. Every person was blessed by the Goddess to have someone special just for them. Around the age of 18, you met them. You knew it was them by their scent. Everyone had their own scent only their mate could smell. And once you met, you were supposed to stay with that person for life. Though you could deny your mate, it often led to lasting heartache and had been known to cause death to the weaker members of a pack. 

So with that consequence, who would dare deny their mate?
