"Direthil, come it is time."
"teh vanir ghil, it is time, brother."
My brother and I walked into a pool of crystallizing water, as blue as Fen'shanir, the lady of the sky. but as cold as the touch of Snohil, god of the frost.
"place the amulet on the pedestal in the center, my dear brother." spoke my brother, in his chill voice, as icy as the water we now stood in.
As i placed the amulet down, my family began chanting the dismantling words. i stepped quickly back into my place and began chanting as well.
"Teh vanir ghil tir al ghan elvhen" or in the common tongue," The amulet beckons all of our people."
we repeated these words over and over until we heard the water rippling around the amulet, then the cracking of the gemstone held within. it was done.
"spread these amongst ourselves, clan Rae'shel, for we have just stopped a powerful dark entity hanging above our heads. the amulet in the wrong hands who knows not how to wield it would be a terrible price to pay." my brother spoke yet again so chilled and icy.
He doesn't realize the power of the amulet, we could stop the human advance, but we had to destroy it before a human mage brought about destruction meddling in elven magic. i'll fix the amulet, and let the elves continue our once benevolent existence.
our rival clan, the Tarvalen, they have members who sympathize with what i believe. so do a select few members of each clan. This is our chance as elves to take back what we are losing each waking hour of the striding days. i refuse to bow to humans, dwarves, or those animals, the Henaati. We shall prevail. Prevail we shall.
