"Why?" Lucifer whispered in a voice filled with rage, clutching Lilith's limp form to her chest. "Why did you do this, Michael?"
The younger Archangel looked down at his sister, eyes cold and emotionless. His grey metal wings were fanned out from his back and tinged blue from the energy of his magic. Judicii, hung loosely at his side, menacing and sharp.
"It was their will." He answered, his voice flat and dull like a stone slab.
"You're such a puppet," Lucifer sneered. "You bow and scrape and kiss their arse, without ever questioning any order they give you. You disgust me."
"You once followed orders as well, sister. Now, you broke a law, you brought a human to Heaven." Michael stated calmly. "Don't call me disgusting, when we're the same, soldiers at their side. The only difference is that I'm an obedient servant and you're a defective mutt"
"Well I'm tired of being a dog." Lucifer said, laying Lilith's body down gently and stood up, summoning Abaddon to her grasp. "It's time to be the master."
Michael inclined his head, eyes flashing a challenge. "Careful with your threats, sister. This won't end well for you."
A sickening grin fell over the female angels face and she let out a bitter chuckle. "Don't you get it, Michael. You took her from me. The one thing I truly cared about. You have given me nothing to lose. I don't care what happens, brother." She spat the word like a curse. "I don't need to live, I just need to enact vengeance."
"Lucifer," He warned. "You don't want this."
"That's where you're wrong, Michael." Lucifer spread her wings strings of what could only be described as black light, an impossibility, spread from Abaddon, up her arm and wreathed her body as she spread her wings. "I most certainly want this."
She raised Abaddon to strike and blasted past Michael, into the clouds. Thus, the Morningstar started her razing of the Heavens, destined to fall from grace.
