A small girl, about the age of eight, rushed into her beloved home with her best friend by her side. They both left their stuff by the door. The young girl ran around her house in search for her mother. She wanted to ask her mom to tell her friend about an old tale that she had heard over thirty times before. The young girl loved the story so much that after hearing it for the tenth time she started to believe the tale to be true.
Her best friend sat in the living room on one of the few bean bag chairs that the girl had in her house. The young girl's mother entered the living room with a plate full of snacks for the girls to eat during the story.
"Now, I know my daughter loves this tale dearly, and upon her request I will retell this old beloved tale that my mother had told me." The woman began softly. "This tale is quite long, so we will take a break during the tale to eat and rest. It shouldn't take all weekend to tell, but it will certainly take hours."
The young girl had a beaming smile as she looked at her best friend.
A woman tells her daughter and her daughter's friend one of her own favorite childhood tales that her parents had shared with her. Her daughter has heard the story countless times before and really wanted her friend to hear it. She always asked her mom to tell her the story. The girls believe this old tale, unlike the woman. Maybe, just maybe, they can prove the tale to be a true story.
