While I grew up I've always had a wild imagination, I could stare at something and watch it move and as soon as I blink it would go back to normal. I would watch this girl writing on a chalk board in the newspaper that was strung up in my classroom in grade 7, she would look at me and as soon as I blink she would be back to idle. It was fun, but I knew it was all in my head. I could also just stare at it, either making whatever "person" i thought was in my room turn back into what was actually a pile of laundry I never did. This time, this story takes place in roughly grade 4, I was lying down in my pretty big room at the time. It was more spacious than anything with a closet at the end of my bed that slid open and closed. In my room there was one of the mini halls where when you walk in first time there's a short wall on one side that turns into the open space. A small hall if you would, it wasn't much longer than half a meter. I had woken up suddenly for whatever reason, checking the time I realized I woke up at exactly 12:00 am. Confused, I had looked over to the left where my eyes adjusted to the darkness blanketting my room. By the time my eyes adjusted I could see the outline of the door, however I could also see the outline of a man. He was tall, with two little eyes and a outline of a hat. It was more of a silhouette because there was no notable details like hair, clothes, colour, etc. Even though I had just realized there was a man in my room, I wasn't afraid. I spoke out a little "Hello?" and as soon as the ending left my mouth it had turned and dissipated into the wall. I wasn't scared instead I felt calm and almost at ease. However, not much time after I fell asleep I woke up again but instead of calmness it was a rush of adrenaline. Seeing as my eyes were very used to the dark, I look over to see if the man was there again. Nothing, he wasn't there. However what had took his place was a shadowy mass that cover the small hall and even there door. Pitch black. I started to panic, I remember wishing it would just disappear. This thing didn't have a shape but I hated it. I felt trapped seeing as it had a grasp in the surrounding area. Having nothing else to do, I did what all kids do when they're afraid. I threw my blanket over my head and faced the wall, squeezing my eyes shut, wishing it would just leave.u walk in first time there's a short wall on one side that turns into the open space. Luckily for me, It wouldn't the last time I see The man with the Hat.
These are a collection of some of my personal experience with the paranormal, I will update this every time I've had something strange or unexplainable.
I want to note that I will give out reasons on why some of these can be explained. Example: I live in an apartment so some footsteps can be from upstairs.
So please take these with a grain of salt or enjoy these as "based on true stories" stories.
