“Balloons!” Gracie says as she jumps into a huge pile of balloons surrounded by bookshelves basically making a pool.

“Don’t pop them!” Gabrielle says next to me. Just as Gracie pops one of them. Great.

“I am coming!” I yell, leaving Gabrielle behind.

Just as I jump into the pile Gracie emerges a few feet away, as I fall to the ground Gracie grabs me, just before I land on a pencil.

“This is why you pay attention.” Gracie says and then the door swings open, walks in Kade. “Oh hey idiot!” Gracie yells to him.

“I love that is the pet name you have chosen for him.” I say and Gracie glares.

“We aren’t even dating.” She says.

“But you like him.” I say.

“I mean I have liked half of the guys in this stupid school, and it’s always for like a week, I will get over it.” Gracie stands, picking up the pencil and throwing it at Kade. (What is funny is that I didn’t even like Kade at this time irl. lol)

“Rude.” Kade says, finally reaching the balloon pit. He smiles at her, they are so stupid.

“Are you coming in or not?” Gracie asks Kade. She is wearing a sweatshirt and yoga pants, she used to wear cuter clothes now it just feels like she has no energy to.

“Yup.” Kade opens the baby gate keeping the balloons inside the ring and steps inside. He is wearing black sweatpants and a red T-shirt. It’s like Over Armour or something. With that he is wearing a light grey jacket.

“Stupid.” Gracie mocks Kade as a balloon leaves the ring.

(A few hours later at Annalyn and Gracie’s dorm.)

“Why don’t you just tell him?” I ask Gracie and she just shrugs, flopping down onto her bed.

“I have tried. And it really isn’t worth the emotional stress.” She says.

“You’re so stupid.” I say and she looks at me, confused. “What if I text him for you?”

“No.” She says, turning to look at me.

“Why not?”

“Because I don’t want you to.” She states simply.

“Fine.” I jump onto her bed, “Then you get to deal with me.”

“That’s fine, sweetheart.” She smirks at me.

“Shut it.” I can barely hide my smile.

“Why? Come on, give me a little kiss.” She is still smirking, her light blue eyes glowing at me.

“Stop!” I jump off the bed, laughing.

“And there we go.” She knows I hate being called something sweet, it just makes it seem like she actually likes me. Although she also has the same issue but it’s because she hates anything emotional.

“Come on, wife.” For years we have had a ‘family.’ All of our friends we made a huge family tree, it is hard to explain but yeah. Gracie and I are the top of it, making us wives.

“I find that funny, not annoying.” She smiles at me. Her light blue, icy eyes grinning with her light pink lips.

“I don’t like you.” I slump onto my own bed.

“Nope, you love me.” She smirks again.

“I hate that you’re not wrong.” I roll my eyes and lay down.

“And then-” The bell rings, signaling the end of class. “Okay, make sure to read chapter five tonight! Have a good day.” I grab my things and walk to the back of the class, meeting Kade there.

“Hurry up.” I say, sounding annoyed but smiling nonetheless.

“No you.” He says.

“I swear to god I am going to kill you.” I turn around and start walking to the door, Kade quickly catches up to me and we walk to the commons where Annalyn is waiting for us.

“Hey lovebirds.” Annalyn says after seeing us.

“Will Kill.” I say and she laughs.

“Do you have rehearsal tonight?” Kade asks us.

“Uhm- I don’t think so.” Annalyn says, “So you guys can go on a date tonight.”

“Dude.” I say, “Even if we were together, you know I hate dates.”

“Well whatever.” Annalyn says.

Kade is standing on one side of me whilst Annalyn is on the other, they kinda hate each other so I have to separate them.

“Why are the dorms so far away?” I complain.

“Because.” Kade says.
