There once was a Kingdom of Shadows, a king to rule over the land, and a prince named Kuro who did everything exactly the opposite that he was told, among the royals he'd been notorious for not following principals of royalty.
This had been a problem, for a long time now, and his father King knew he had to do something about it because his and his servants patience were growing thin.
No one really knew what to do but the King called a meeting regarding the matter.
The King had the suggestion that maybe if he had someone like a girl to marry that he would settle down and that life would be so great.
He was convinced at this and wouldn't let anyone tell him differently.
He was an arrogant king, and in his arrogance he would lose sight of his son, Kuro like losing sight of a shadow within the shadows.
Someone had suggested telling him to do things he shouldn't but the king brushed it off saying he would catch on sooner enough.
He was probably right, for all the years I've known Kuro he'd always been like this.
I will tell you the story of how the Kingdom of Shadows ceased to be and of Kuro, a boy named Shiro and how together they changed the world.
The King hated things not going his way, so much so that he eventually gave up and hired a magi to tutor Kuro.
Kuro wanted to know magic by himself, but the King would have none of that.
The magi was a close friend to the King, and as long as Kuro didn't know that , the better.
Through beginning to learn magic he was dissatisfied learning only silly little charms.
Kuro's patience wore thin, and Kuro was assigned a personal knight named Shinji, because of the threat in recent days to the capital.
One day, Kuro had broke into the place where the magi hid all his magical books, relics and the like.
He opened a book he shouldn't have and just as he opened the book, it was on a page about change of appearance spell, a spell which was permanent and would switch the appearance totally of the two individuals.
This intrigued him and so he remembered the incantation.
He left like nothing happened, placing the dusty book back where he had left it.
He knew no one to be worthy of an appearance switch, he didn't want to live as anyone else from what he seen at the castle.
He knew he had to be smart about who he'd pick, but ultimately he was just looking for someone as handsome as he was.
So later the next day he escaped out of the castle in a crudely made disguise of bedroom sheets of black draped like a cloak.
He went looking far and wide in the capital and went even a little further to find who he was looking for.
He heard crashing sounds of trees falling and went to where the noise had happened.
It was a boy, with porcelain skin and cotton white hair.
The boy looked back at him with his cerulean blue eyes.
"What are you doing?" Kuro said.
"Training, magic, don't tell anyone" Said the boy.
"I won't..."
"Where did you learn magic?" Asked Kuro as he stepped closer to the boy.
"My older brother" Said Shiro.
"My name's Shiro by the way"
Kuro had his eyes set on him, he said the incantation at the same time the other boy asked for his name, and then pointed at Shiro, he ripped his cloak off and the boy knew just who he was.
They both began to lose balance and when they stumbled and fell a little bit, when they got up they noticed they were both wearing different clothes, and were looking at different people.
"I'm you, and your me!" Said Shiro.
"What did you do?!" Asked the boy in a panic.
"No, it's what you did to me, a favour" Said Kuro.
"Oh and just a tip, the guards are probably looking for you, since you escaped and all" He said.
