In May of 2009, 37 high school students vanished without a trace in the aftermath of a house party celebrating the end of their junior year. All the bodies were soon found however, scattered around town and mutilated beyond recognition. All that is, except that of 17 year old Dominick Alvarez. With no leads and no evidence connecting anyone to the murders or the disappearance of the young man, the case soon went cold. Seven and a half years later, a diary belonging to 24 year old Nickolas Cadaver was discovered in his apartment after he was reported missing. The apartment had been trashed, with bloodstains and what appeared to be occult paraphernalia scattered across the premises. It was later discovered that the dna found in samples of the blood was identical to that of the presumably deceased Alvarez.
The location of Nickolas Cadaver is still unknown, and the body of Alvarez has yet to be found.
So... I guess this is my first entry
I'm not quite sure what Mr. Faust or Mr. Fischer were thinking when they assigned me this case. In all honesty, I'm a bit more used to the containment cases than anything. Maybe they thought this would be easier for me since I'm a psychic? I mean, that would be great... except the only things I really have to go off here are some eye witness reports, some tapes, and this... screwed up journal.
I'm gonna have to be honest here. I've seen some fucked up shit before. I've dealt with it. Probably not in a way that's very healthy, but... it's better than nothing. I'm... fine with most of my assignments, but this one- as crazy as it sounds, this one just... doesn't sit right with me. And it's all because of that STUPID journal. I don't know what's wrong with it, okay??? I just- I just don't want to look at it! It's like the entire thing is steeped in pain and mysery and I don't know WHY!
...I'm going to speak with Mr. Faust tommorrow to see if I can trade out this assignment for something else. I know I'm probably just making this harder than it needs to be, but... I can barely stand holding the damn thing as it is. How am I supposed to solve this damn case if I can't even examine the evidence properly?
