For Albert being scary was something that he desperately wanted as his family was part demon but he showed no resemblance. His rainbow fur over his cat-like body with his small black horns and round glass-like eyes over his cat-like body, just didn't seem to have the scary aspect. So others always bullied him because of this fact and called him a monster, a being that never should have been born. His younger sister, Luareene, had a small cat-like body like him with black fur, razor sharp fangs and bright red glowing eyes. Then his brother, Garth, had a large lion-like body with almost clear eyes, black fur, ram-like horns, and long sharp rows of teeth. His brother did not only appear to be extremely frightening to people that didn't know him but he was a very strong beast and honorable too as he was one of the kingdom's head officers. Finally his mother who had more or a deep maroon color to her with streaks of white and grey in her fur as she was getting old, especially with having his sister at the age of forty-two. she had pale blue kind looking eyes as well as small black horns. She was as large as a tiger and as fast as a cheetah. He had some resemblances to his mother, the eyes and horns were the same but only she knew why he had rainbow fur and had always refused to say why. Because of this fact as he believed that it was the reason that he could not scare even a baby.
Relationships between demons and beasts was still something that a lot of people were against as well as demon-human relationships but those weren't as bad if it was a human and a beast. That was something that the majority agreed on, it was something that should have never happened in the first place, people had thought the same about demon-beast and demon-human relationships as well. Now though they were beginning to get accepted by the community but human-beast relationships were still shunned.
Mostly some human children were the bullies but other beast children acted like his brother, sister, and him didn't even exist. One time stood out in his mind the most, when his best friend Lore had betrayed him. She had hurt him deep down and he was sure that she knew exactly what she had been doing. Some of the other kids, mostly some human children from her town had decided to bully him that very day and when she came across it....she didn't help him. Instead she joined in yelling at him that he was weak, useless, someone that she never should have been friends with.....but that wasn't all. If that had been all that she had said maybe he could have forgiven her, but she called him the one thing that he can't stand to be called...A monster.
Thrown into a silent rage the young beast was determined to be better. He no longer wished to seem puny and useless to people, humans and beasts alike. So with his heart filled with fury he called out to The Morganer with all of his might. He called out to the one being who is mother had forbidden him to even talk about. The Morganer was known to be an extremely evil beast who made deals that even the demon king would never make after finally coming to peace with the beasts and humans. He only came to make a deal when a caller called to him from the Hedinous Lake on the night of the full moon. The deals that he made was what made everyone see that he was truly evil. He would give the caller whatever they wished for so long as they completed a task for him....but the task was impossible to complete. Then when the time limit he gave them had passed by he would track them down and kill them. Destruction always followed him and he had seemed to the people that he was impassive at best.
His mother had warned little Albert many times to never go looking for trouble and to never ever call out to The Morganer as he was dangerous. She told him stories of his past deals but now Albert paid no mind to them as he called out to him....The one that was called the most evil of beasts.
"Morganer! Morganer, I call out to as I wish to be scary enough to scare even the most steadfast and brave. To be strong like you so that others will fear me as they fear you......so much so that I could even scare the king of demons! "This he cried out into the dark night, so loud that he was sure that even the demons in the earth had heard him even though he was at the peak of the mountain standing only feet away from Hedinous Lake. Looking out to where the full moons reflection shown, slight waves rippling from the air of the high mountain wind. Then he waited for just only a few minutes when the moon was covered by the clouds of the night then covered once more, standing where the moons reflection had only just shown was The Morganer.
He stood tall, ever so tall with a billowy black cloak that moved around his form on its own accord only slightly revealing his pale grey withered arms when it was moved far enough from his body. He could not make out his face only the deep glowing red of The Morganer's eyes under the hood of his cloak. He then began to make his way to the young beast swaying as he went as if he could fall to the ground dead any second. The closer The Morganer got the more frightened he became, but he held his ground determined to not show how frightened he was. Power came off of him in waves stronger with each lasting second, it was the strongest and most frightening amount of power that he had ever felt. The Morganer then stopped in front of the young beast and as he spoke a green wisp of smoke seemed to come from his mouth
"Young One the power you seek is strong and evil, I do not wish to give this self destructive power of mine to one so young. This is your last chance to turn back, do so Young One as I do not wish to take your life." He sounded ever so remorseful as if he knew that the young beast would not heed his wise words. For only a moment did little Albert feel unsure of what he had been planning to do but at that time, more memories surfaced. A centaur mother and her daughter chiding him about where he fell short and kids calling him a monster; human, beast, and even the demon children. He could not handle the anger it surged through his body with malicious intent. So he ignored the warnings of both his mother and The Morganer and replied with anger and defiance.
"Turning back would mean failure, no acceptance, to be called weak by everyone for the rest of my life. If they should call me a monster then maybe I should live up to their expectations and become the thing they accuse me of being just because of my mix of demon and beast blood." The Morganer took a sharp intake of breath at the young beast's response lowering his head. Then a tear barely visible to the young beast fell to the ground from The Morganer's hooded face and he said with the deepest and most sorrow filled voice.
"Very well, your task is to save the woman trapped in the sky with a week to complete the task, I shall give you the power to do so. You only need to go to the tallest mountain in the country and with the power I give you, you may appear there as a challenger to Prince Lieon....But be warned, he is strong, stronger than me so proceed with caution so that you may live," Then in a whisper that Albert almost didn't hear, he said.
"If you make it there at all." With that the sorrow filled Morganer turned and went back to the lake, walking on the water to where the moons reflection had shown only minutes before....So when the clouds moved uncovering the moon, The Morganer was gone-disappeared into the dark night leaving the young beast who he was sure would fail wondering what he could have meant by his words.
Then only a second after The Morganer had gone little Albert began to feel a change, one that would completely change his life. He grew until he was larger than a lion but just shorter than a small tree. His teeth grew and sharpened to the finest of points while his horns turned white and became ram-like. His fur went from the unique coloring of the rainbow to a black that was darker than any other, but his eyes merely grew to fit his new body staying round and glass-like. And when he breathed slowly green mist came out of his mouth similar to what had happened when The Morganer spoke and when he looked where he was going he was instantly there. He was positive that this power of teleportation was the power The Morganer had spoken of that would get him to where he needed.
He was no longer weak or little, he was someone to be feared and respected by all. He was more powerful than any other of that he was sure, with only the exception of The Morganer. He was the monster that those bullies had called him and they would quickly learn to regret ever calling him that. A good scare to them would be the most justified of revenge, maybe even beat them up a little so they could feel his pain. He knew that with only a week to do so he went in the direction of the little village called Domige where the bullies and his ex- best friend Lore lived. There was no reason to focus on the task as he was sure he would be killed either way and with overwhelming power and pride he began his journey.
