Growling softly he watched as something skittered across his view. It wasn’t prey-like, he knew that for sure, it was just strange as it walked.
It limped.
Sniffing the air, he knew it was attacked already, reeking of blood and dirt.
It stopped and turned to him glaring its red eyes at him.
It was a diseased Shifter!
“No,” he growled lowly and looked for an escape route. This thing was sick and it would be bad to bring it back to the pack. He needs a different way of killing it, and he had already used most of his energy just trying to tack it down. He figured that making it follow him was a good idea.
Hopefully the other Elite Omega’s were at the site waiting for him. If not then this might be tricky.
The creature turned to him and hissed, leaking eyes and hanging fur and skin, it didn’t look right for a Shifter to be like this. How long was it like that? The air turned sour, there was more of them. This disease was on going, how long will it be until it took all the Shifters? Would any of them become extinct?
“No time to dwell, I need to lead them away from here,” he growled. ‘Through that gap, young Elite Omega.’ the soft growl within him voiced. It was his Wolf Spirit, the one that teaches him how to be a proper Elite Omega.
In his world Omega-Born are the strongest of the Alpha-Born’s and Beta-Born’s, the Omega-Born are the Pack’s Royal Guards, Protectors of the Pack and Law Enforcement. Having been Specially trained to take on the worlds Dark and Mysterious Forces that no other wolf can as they didn’t weild the special powers gifted to them by their Wolf Spirits.
Wolf Spirits was not only a phrase for a strong spirited wolf but a guide to lead a wolf to become something stronger than they once were. They were their ancestors, taking on the role of the small voice that one often hears, but to the Wolf Shifter’s the voice was clear.
Omega-Born were not only strong within Pack Ranks but they can be Mother’s regardless of gender. But an Elite Omega’s were different, they can not bare children. No it was more like that they were not Allowed to have Children.
If an Elite Omega has a Child with an Alpha, then it will be seen as Betrayal by the Wolf Spirits. Since Omega-Born will look after that offspring before the Pack. So the Wolf Spirits devised a plan, to take away the Powers they gifted and cause Immense pain to the Omega-Born when faced with an Alpha they sniffed at.
An Elite Omega’s sole Purpose was to Protect the Pack.
Not be Submissive beings in front of the Natural Leader Alpha-Born’s that always challenge for control over both the Omega-Born and the normal Beta-Born. One of those challenges is scent. An Alpha-Born’s Pheromone’s is intoxicating to an Omega-Born and an Alpha-Born’s strength overwhelm’s Beta-Born’s. If an Elite Omega is seen with either an Alpha-Born or Beta-Born the Omega will experience difficulties along with being stripped of their powers. Never to be strong Omega and the offspring will be cursed to be weak and powerless.
‘Jump!’ the Wolf Spirit growled when a rotting tree fell before him. Looking back Justice could see the Panther Shifter’s were gaining on him. They soon surrounded him as they successfully hearded him to a cliff. Growling his saliva flickered with embers before hitting the ground, he could feel the heat from the fire in him start to burn.
The cat’s growled limping closer, the state the poor creatures were in was horrible. He wondered how they managed to survive until now. Justice waited for them to get closer before unleashing the fire that built up, breathing out a sigh of relief the flames caught the dry trees and started to quickly spread swallowing up the Puma’s in its wake.
“We’ll be taken out by the fire, but that’s ok. The water Elite Omega’s can handle the flames.”
‘Elite Omega, Justice Knight.’
“Yes, Rose Nighy?”
‘Do you promise to uphold the ways of an Elite Omega?’ it was a sacred ceremony for the wolves to have before passing. This ceremony was to turn the dying wolf into a Wolf Spirit.
“I, Justice Nighy, promise to uphold the law of the Forest.” Justice vowed as the fire singed his dark fur and the heat started to scorch his nose.
‘I, Knight Rose hereby grant this Elite Omega the power to become a Wolfe Spirit to guide and honour the next Elite Omega. Justice Knight, howl true so that the Ancestors can hear you and take you in as a Wolf Spirit. When you find your Pup teach of our ways and to honourably protect the pack at all costs.’
Justice lifted his head and coughed before howling weakly, the cat’s either lay before his paws or ran away a good distance before subcoming to the heat of his fire. He held the note for what felt like forever before he found the strength to continue, the heat around him soon became warm. The roaring of the fire and crackling of trees was no more, confused he looked around him and found the land was made of stars. The wolves before gathered staring, before howling a welcome.
Smiling, he joined them. His howl carried to the world he left behind, taking his fire with him to the stars. Those left behind mourned the loss of their members but rejoiced at the sound of the haunting howl that was known as Justice Nighy.

Looking at the small hatch that was the start of The Omega Test, I felt a deep connection with it. Walking to it I felt a strong sense of some sort. Like it was pulling me in, lifting up the hatch revealed a dark hole that smells of earth and felt cool.
‘Go in’ the feeling told me, there was no words being spoken but the feeling of being pulled in was stronger.
The Omega Test is a test for all wolves to take. It’s like a beginner test. You have to go in and follow the magic that connects you best with your inner self.
An Omega is finding and sitting in Grandma’s Living Room. It’s what the grown-ups call a Dominant trait.
An Alpha is finding and standing by the Stove in Grandma’s Kitchen. The grown-ups call this a Submissive trait.
I found both of these but I didn’t feel the need to go into either rooms. Grandma’s Living room had a comfy looking couch with a comfy looking chair beside a fire place. Grandma’s Kitchen was also nice looking with it’s wood stove and floral pattern walls.
I went down a different way.
It was hidden in darkness and you have to actually crawl through it. I was being lead by an invisible string that pulls when I’m going the wrong way. Mom calls it Instinct. She says that I should trust it.
At the end of the tunnel I found an old rotting door, pushing it open and crawling out I found that I was on the other side of the Omega Test. Standing up and brushing myself off I felt out of place... no it was more like the Test was out of place. It felt like there should have been something more after the Back Door.
I heard laughter and followed the sound and found my Dad. Next to him were two Alpha’s.
“Dad?” I asked and passed the window to Grandma’s Living Room.
“Well, you found Grandpa’s Backyard,” seeing the Alpha that talked I walked to Dad’s side wondering if I’ve done wrong.
“I’m proud of you, Son!” Dad picked me up after ruffling my jet black hair. “Anyone who finds Grandpa’s Backyard get’s to choose where they belong. It’s like Grandma and Grandpa are telling you to go out and have a great adventure.”
“I like Grandma and Grandpa, they let me do anything,” I smiled holding onto my Dad’s collar.
“That she does, she spoils all her grandpups rotten,” the Alpha spoke with a smile and a wink. “So Little Alpha what are you going to do?”
“Omega,” the word flew out of my mouth. I wondered why I would choose that over a Strong Alpha. The look on their face mirrored my thoughts and I wondered if I said the wrong thing.
“Okay, you still have time to properly choose before you are accepted into the pack in a few years,” the Alpha said turning to his right. “Isn’t that right, Son?”
“Hello, young Omega,” the other Alpha said looking at me with a smile and a gentle voice. “It’s nice to meet such a smart Omega in our Ranks.”
“My Son, Alpha Franklin will be the one giving you your Alpha Rank.”
“I’m Beta Franklin, my son Salem had also taken The Omega Test a few weeks ago,” I like Beta Franklin, he’s not pushing for me to be an Alpha. I feel like I can trust him. “Not many pups have done what you just did. No matter who you choose, you’ll be respected within the Pack.”
Dad put me down so that he can talk to the Alpha and Beta again. I walked over to the window and found someone there already. He was burrying something in the little garden box.
“I don’t think anything will grow there,” I said, the young boy looked shocked and started to tremble.
“S-sorry, I-I... didn’t-”
“It’s ok, I don’t think Grandma would mind,” he looked at me and above me towards my Dad and the other two grown-ups.
“M-m-m-Dad is ma-making m-me... t-t-t-take...”
“I see,” I didn’t but it looked like he was in pain just trying to talk properly. “Did you figure out who you want to be?”
“Alpha,” the boy said as he brushed away his dark brown hair from his abyss eyes. It seemed he had no problems speaking now. “Did you mean it when you said you wanted to become a weak Omega?”
“Why wouldn’t I? Omega’s can be strong,” I said wondering why he hated Omega’s so much with how angry he sounded while saying the word.
“I didn’t mean it like that, Omega-Born can be Alpha’s but there’s only so much a weak Omega-Born can do. Why give up a strong Rank in our Pack?” My eyes narrowed at his words.
“Alpha’s are viewed as strong, in their right they are but there’s no reason to demote the Omega’s so much. If strength was all there was then there would only be Alpha’s in a pack, that doesn’t sound like a stable pack to me.”
“Well, have you seen a strong Omega recently?” the boy asked. Thinking, I realized that there was none. The Omega Class I’m in are filled with gentle Omega’s that wouldn’t life a finger to hurt a fly. “See? Alpha’s are Better.”
A small growl escaped, “With a head that big it won’t fit in the Omega Test.”
“I don’t think you’ll ever leave the Alpha Labyrinth!” I looked at him shocked, the Alpha Labyrinth was the advanced test for wolves who were maturing and ready to go out into the world on their own. I can take the test and prove that I’m a strong Omega! I quickly went over to my Dad and the Alpha and Beta.
“Dad! Dad! I want to take the Alpha Test!” the Alpha and Beta looked at me with interest while my Dad was shocked.
“Well, you’re just in luck, Alpha Angel. We were discussing that after your Alpha Training. What do you say Alpha Darius? Would you allow Alpha Angel to take the Traning?”
“Angel? Isn’t that a girls name?” Salem asked coming up behind me.
“Salem,” Beta Franklin growled, Salem looked at the Beta and walked over to him.
“I want to prove that not all Omega-Born’s are weak and dumb,” I said looking up at my dad, he always looked so strong with Alpha’s around and I want to do that too! Looking at the Alpha and Beta, I realized that Beta Franklin looked sad before hardening his look.
“Omega’s are not weak, Omega’s are not dumb,” Beta knelt down as he said that to me. “You are strong, smart and far more loving of your pack than any Alpha I know.”
“One week, Alpha Angel will be in Alpha Traning,” Alpha said, Beta Franklin had walked away with Salem. “Prove to us dumb Alpha’s and Beta’s that you can stand fang and claw with us and never back down.”
Dad and I watched Alpha walk away after bidding us a Calm Moon Rise. Dad picked me up and started heading home, he stayed quiet the whole way while I talk about my time in the Omega Test. Dad walked up the steel staircase gently holding me close, looking over his shoulder I seen the Den.
There was a building in the middle with two wolves standing outside guarding the door.
There was doors against the wall on the other side of us, to the left was a stage where the Alpha likes to talk.
Beside that was another door, not sure where it goes.
To the right was a dark wall with a single door, not sure where that goes either.
Below us was the Omega District, well I guess the whole wall was. It has doors along the wall all the way up to the ceiling, and to the left was the Omega School. It stuck out more because of the play area that had soft green carpet that everyone says looks like grass.
Reaching our floor I can smell Mom’s cooking, seeing the number on the door was 4521. Mom’s food was always the best, tonight was Mac and Cheese, mashed Potatoes, Deer meat and Deer gravy. Mom always looked silly wearing her fluffy pink apron, she needs a bigger size.
“He made it to Grandpa’s Backyard,” my Dad happily announced to Mom as she put her apron away and hugged us.
“Oh, wonderful! Unique my Son, you’re so smart! Should I start calling you Alpha Angel? Or does my Son Prefer Omega Crowther? Oh no matter, whatever you choose you’ll do wonders!” Mom squeezed us tight and I nuzzled into her neck silently thanking her for her understanding.
“No one will know about... that, will they?”
“No Son,” my Dad said softly as he nuzzled under my chin, “No one will know. Not if you want them to.”
“Go rest your eyes, it’s no good to keep them in so long,” Mom said and set me down. Walking over to the bathroom I looked back and seen my parents hugging. Seeing them like this always made me happy, I also got the feeling that I should take my time in the bathroom. Good thing I always keep spare pajama’s in there for these occasions.
Closing the door I dragged my stool from under the sink and stood on it seein my jet black hair, my black ears with the white fur on the inside and my dark eyes peeking over the sink. I stretched my eyes open and gently took out a coloured contact lends. I now had a red eye and a dark eye, I did the same on the other side so now I had two red eyes.
I always felt uncomfortable staring into my eyes and looked down in the sink and turned on the warm water. Washing my face, washing my hands, turned off the water and changed clothes. My pajama’s were ice cream pattern and felt warm and soft. Fitting my tail through I gave it a small wag, happy with the dark fur swish behind me.
Mom and Dad were happily setting up the table, I love seeing them like this its so peaceful and calm. Not to mention both of them smiling at each other when ever they pass by each other.

Alpha walked after Beta Franklin into the Alpha Office, “My Son, I know what you are saying. We are doing this for the good of the Pack.”
“I know Father. But Omega’s shouldn’t have to deal with that constantly! To be belittled at every turn just because of their choice! Even you! Towards a Pup nonetheless!”
“Yes, Son. I’m sorry for that, I shouldn’t have called the Pup Alpha when he’s clearly made his decision. But I had reasons for it.”
“What reason?” Beta Franklin sat down in a chair to keephimself from throwing things around.
“When our paws first touch the ground-”
“Not another story, I’m far past Pup stories.”
“When our paws first touch the ground, there were strong Omega-Born’s. They had powers to control the sky itself and move bodies of water from their path. Those Omega-Born’s were called Elite Omega’s.”
