There once was a princess in a faraway land who was condemned to live in a birdcage until the day she died, but one day, the most handsome prince she had ever seen came to take her away, to sweep her off her feet and run away with her. The prince succeeded in breaking the princess out of her prison, they fled to the prince’s kingdom and got married. However, their happiness didn’t last forever, as the princess’s parents came with an army. Filled with rage and vengeance, their armies killed everyone, including the prince. The princess, filled with grief, transformed into a large beast, completely destroying the invading armies and separating the land in between the two kingdoms to create a large ocean to separate them, so that they may never fight again. The princess then took the prince’s lifeless body, walked into the ocean, and the two became one with it, never to return to the mortal plane again.
“And that’s the story of the Princess and the Birdcage, how’d you like it, Nini?” Iota asked, “It’s a fun story, isn’t it?”
Nina smiled and nodded to Iota, “Of course I liked it, you told it to me! I love everything you do, everything you tell me! Everything you are!” Nina exclaimed, “Though… The ending was sad, don’t’cha think? I wish the princess and prince lived happily, forever!”
Iota patted Nina’s head, and returned a smile to her, “That’s the reality of life, my young sister, sometimes… Life just doesn’t work your way, sometimes it really messes you up, but I promise, I’ll do everything in my power to make sure your life is as perfect as it can be,”
“Aw, you’re so nice, it’s almost like you wanted to ask me something!”
“Well actually, there is something I wanted to ask of you, Nini, come close now,”
