The dog never barked
The sun, as usual, was trying its best to kill every living thing dwelling on the land.
A boy laying under the shed of an old house was getting very annoyed by the sun, so in the end, he decided to save humanity by slaying it, although many people might not appreciate this valorous act, he still decided to do it as his last act for humanity
But there was a big problem, the boy didn’t know how to slay the sun
No one has ever slain it before so it was obvious for the boy to be unaware too
‘What do I do? What do I do?’ the boy thought scratching his head
But try as he might he wasn’t able to find any solution, not by himself, at least
That’s why in the end he decided to search for possible clues in the ‘Holy Texts’ called ‘Novels’
The boy got up, gave the dog a nod, the dog did the same and then he left the place
In the library,
There sat a boy occupying an entire table for himself with different books surrounding him from all sides. The boy right now was reading a novel called, ‘The Legend of Leon’.
“And there stood Leon facing the wrathful and evil sun who was looking at him with contempt”
*flip*
“The sun knowing Leon’s strength tried to make him his pawn by offering him riches and women, but Leon-the star breaker wasn’t so petty as to fall for such things! Riches? He owned more than half of the universe! Women? He already had his 10 lovely wives! The sun had grossly underestimated Leon thinking that he could buy off someone like him with such petty things!!!”
*flip*
“Leon’s denial made the evil sun angry and he said in a voice full of anger, ‘Foolish Mortal! You dare to refuse me, the sun!? The ruler of the entire cosmos!? I will kill every last one of those humans that you love so much!’ the sun said, its voice resounding throughout the omniverse”
*flip*
“This time the sun had gone too far, Leon was boiling with anger that was enough to destroy the sky and evaporate the ocean. Seeing his anger even the mighty sun realized how big of a mistake he had made. But what’s done was done, the sun knew that all too well, so it brought out its divine spear to finish off Leon, but Leon as if he wasn’t even interested just sneezed with his full strength!!! *Achhooo!!!*”
*flip*
“Nothing much happened. The sun was still standing there but its upper body was missing. The sun died a terrible death"
*flip*
"Leon threw one final look at the lower half of the deceased sun and said with his eyes full of tears and his face full of sadness, ‘I didn’t want to do this, I’m sorry, but don’t worry I will take care of your wife and daughter’”
*flip*
“Just like the hero he was, Leon gave his final respects and walked away carrying the burdens and responsibilities of even his enemy…and his story continued on… ”
Closing the covers of the novel the boy looked at the ceiling of the library, two fine trails of tears came trickling down his eyes and the boy couldn’t control himself anymore. He cried and cried until the librarian started threatening him to leave.
Leaving the old library, his heart filled with the bittersweet moments he had come to witness in the novel, the boy looked at the sun, but this time not with anger but with pity and compassion.
The boy shook his head, looked at it once again, and in a soft voice said, “I will let you go just this once”
A thin but proud smile spread across his innocent face
