Time skipped to when the young princess was born.
"Please wait, your highness!" A voice shouted
"No, im going to see my mother no matter what you say!" Says a little girl with White hair like her father and blazing emerald eyes like her mother while running the halls of wisteria castle.
Suddenly the door to the medical wing opened. Everybody was startled.
"Mama! Mama! Look what the Gau-" The young princess tripped on her skirt and majestically fell to the ground.
"YOUR HIGHNESS!" a voice boomed beyond the door.
At the same time, a scream came out of the room, "PRINCESS!"
Shiriyuki, the Queen, hurried over to her daughter and embarrassed her in her arms.
"Oh my, what made my princess trip?" she said with a smile.
"Im sorry little miss; I couldn't keep the princess from falling," Obi said, bowing his head.
"It's alright; Kids do grow like this. Truthfully it's more amusing to see Obi's flustered expression everyone in a while. I could even hear you scream from beyond the doors," She said with a chuckle.
Obi had been the princess's personal guard ever since she was born. She still remembered the surprised expression on Zen's face when Obi handed over his resignation letter. After all, who knew that he wanted to upgrade himself from being a bodyguard to a full-fledged Knight? Of course, he had to prove his worth to be a member of the Royal Knight, but in the end, he did it.
"Let me apply the bandage on her nose?" Head Pharmacist said, noticing a red liquid sneak out of those delicate nostrils.
Shiriyuki looked over and saw that her daughter noticed blood coming out of her nose, ready to burst into tears. As a court herbalist, she knew how to treat the nosebleed. And she did exactly that, but the problem was how she kept her from crying. She then got an Idea.
"Oh my, it looks like my child is more delicate than snow! But that's fine. Cause I know my little princess is hiding her strength behind her adorable eyes! Let's show Aunty Garak some of that strength and that you're strong like your daddy." She said to cheer up Shuki
When she heard her mother say daddy, she felt a strong surge of energy that could fight any obstacle. Shiriyuki held her nose pressed until the bleeding completely stopped. She then wiped Shuki's nose. She then gave the rag to Obi, holding his hand out to throw away. Shiriyuki then wrapped the nose with a bandage.
"By the way, my princess, what did you come here for?" shiriyuki asked after the bandage was done.
"Mama! Look! I wanted to show you this," She held her hand out before shiriyuki.
"My goodness! It's a Yura Shigure. Where did you find it? And why are you holding it?" Shiriyuki questioned in a surprised tone.
"I found it in the garden, and I wanted to show my favorite flower to you!" The young princess answered.
"Favorite flower?"
"Yes!" as she looked over the flower lovingly. And before she knew it, a big smile spread across her face.
"And what makes this flower your favorite?" Shiriyuki said innocently
"Because it's bright red, just like you!"
She chuckled. Never in her dreams had she thought she would hear the exact words from two different people.
"Mama!" the princess yelled out with a confused look.
"Nothing, my lovely daughter. It's just your words reminded me of the past. A close friend of mine also said the same words as you. His name is Ryuu, and he is the most talented herbalist in our kingdom," She responded.
"It's just I never thought I hear those words again" A warm, honey-like voice brushed against Shiriyuki's ears. She gasped and turned around. Before her eyes, sitting at the window, was the very person whom she loved with all her might.
"ZEN!" she called his name out lovingly.
He jumped by the window and walked toward them.
"I never guessed I need to compete with a flower to become my daughter's favorite," Zen said, patting her head affectionately.
"No! You would never have to compete. You will always be my number one. I don't want my daddy to get injured while fighting," She immediately said.
"Oh, my adorable princess! Do you think I will lose a fight to a flower?" He said with a chuckle.
The princess thought for a while, "I don't know about the flower, but I do know that you can't win a fight with someone who resembles this flower."
The chuckle echoed through the room. Shiriyuki couldn't help but giggle at the statement of the innocent soul.
"Now, what am I going to do with you?" Zen said while he kissed her forehead.
