“Boss is gonna to hear from you!” A man yells coughing. The man is faced down on the ground groaning in pain as a 16 year old dark-skinned boy sits on top of him as he stares into the distance. His hair in a medium sized afro with a taper fade on his sides. The boy wears a black hoodie with a white shirt underneath. He wears a gold chain with the initials MF on the front, currently holding it close to his chest. He compliments that with long black jeans and black shoes with holes revealing his dirty socks.
“Hah! Your boss? What is that pussy gon' do?” He says bursting out laughing, the man beneath him groaning in pain, vains angrily pertruding from his skull. “You fucking kids know nothing about the boss! Who do you think protects y’all from the other gangs huh?!” The man claims. “Protect? Don’t you mean sucking that guy’s dick. Hahaha!” The boy continues his laughter. “Malek! I’ll kill you myself you fucking selfish shit!” The man continues to groan trying to lift himself up. “Kill?....” Malek whispers. He then turns his head towards the man. His eye as sharp as any hunter-
“INSPECTION! RUN!”
“Tsk!” Malek expresses as he was just interrupted, freeing the man. The whole area goes into chaos as they all rush and hide inside their homes. Fear in their eyes, everyone believes that it is their time to be taken by the military.
“Can’t believe I am assigned to enter this place, this disgusting low of the low. Such filth I can smell it from the outside!” A female voice comments with her fingers over her nose. Her snow-like, long hair makes her stand out around here. Her clean, whote uniform with her gold-coloured strips down both sides, stinking of nobility.
“Haha! You never faail to make me laugh Lady Nicora.” A deep but soft voice is heard. A man staring outside the window as he closes his eyes, taking in the smell and everything from this section. Yet it oddly does not affect him. The man was dressed in black and gold uniform making him the leading officer in this mission. “Thank you, Captain Abdul, but can’t believe you would pick this mission to be your last before retiring to be a teacher. Why are you becoming a teacher anyway, aren’t you like super strong and young?” The lady asks. In that moment, Abdul's eye twitches as if he was bothered or angered at her statement. He lets out a short sigh after a moment of silence. “It is always fun to see what you find.” He says letting out a light and bright smile.
The sounds of gears turning and gates unlocking filled the
car as a patrol of 2 cars and 3 vans formed a line. All cars have a custom interior, designed for Leading Officers and Vice Officers to ride in on mission.
The car came to a halt. A sliding window behind the driver's seat opens to talk to the back of the vehical, where Captain Abdul and Lady Nicora are seated.
“We have arrived Sir.” A voice of a stern, older man spoke before he closes the
window.
Captain Abdul opens his own door and takes a step out, with a floor officer opens the door for Lady Nicora, as she proudly steps out without acknowledging the person who opens the door. But what was before them was something to their surprise. It is usually silent and there is nobody to be seen. Yet a single boy stood in front of a fleet of 20 floor soldiers and in front of Captain Abdul and Lady Nicora. “What is the meaning of this?! Who is this person? What are you guys doing? Move him!” Lady Nicora orders, firmly crossing her arms. The floor officers line up in formation drawing their weapons. Shouting and name calling is thrown at Malek. Captain Abdul was rather interested in this boy’s actions and watches from afar. “Put your hands up now or we'll kill you, you filth!” Lady Nicora shouts. Malek takes his hands from his pockets and slowly raises them to the side of his face. Lady Nicora smirks thinking she has done her job well. But when those hands reached the height his face, those hands quickly turned into middle fingers.
“Fuck. You.” He says slowly as his face turned from saddened to a smirk, as he takes off running, laughing into the ruins and making his getaway. Lady Nicora face turns red from anger. “AFTER HIM!” She shouts, ordering the officers to chase after Malek. Captain Abdul chuckles from that stunt and puts up a real smile. “This is exactly why I chose this as my last mission.” He says to Lady Nicora and begins to walk, following the 20 floor officers as they go chasing Malek.
Unknown to them, Malek is an expert in this place, so he knows every corner and secret like it’s the back of his hand. As the search continues, at home his mother is biting her nails in anxiety for the wellbeing of her son. “Malek! Where are you?! You better be hiding somewhere safe.” She says concerned.
It has been 30 mins since the encounter with Malek and they have yet to spot him. Some officers are using their Flow abilities to fly or to move around quickly but they unfortunately came unprepared as they lack someone with tracking abilities. Lady Nicora grows impatient as she takes a step away from Captain Abdul. Large, bright white wings grow from her back and flap. “Captain, I’m going out to look for him myself!” She says, still infuriated. Abdul with a kind smile nods his head as she takes over quickly and flies far from Abdul. Abdul walks with two floor officers as they guard him. The group walks by a small, dark alleyway. From the corner of his eye, Abdul thinks he sees something, but it was already too late, the floor officer walking behind him gets met a solid right fist to the face, knocking out the floor officer and sending him flying to the other side of the street.
Abdul eyes widen slightly out of surprise, but instead of being angered, he is impressed. The second-floor soldier comes out of shock, his expression quickly turns into anger and jumps back putting his hands together then slaps his right bicep with his left hand. “Flow: Enhance!” He calls out as the muscles in his right arm enlarge. The floor officer prepares his fist and starts his direct approach towards Malek. Malek with a smile on his face chuckles. “Haha! I like you, wanna do this fist to fist?! I’m all in!” He calls out as the knuckles on his right hand turns into concrete. Abdul is shocked seeing this Flow for the first time. The clash was done in an instant, as the floor officer is sat laid on his back unconscious. Malek then turns towards Abdul. “So, you’re the leader huh. Let’s fight!” He says with a smile that is filled with confidence.
“My my, that was impressive young one. Yet why attack do you us? You know what will happen to you-“ Abdul is interrupted. “Because it’s fun fighting stronger people like you!” He replies. ‘What confidence! To attempt to even fight me and believe that he'll win, is ridiculous. What a child.’ Abdul thinks to himself. “Well kid. There is a large difference between the two of us. I can already see the outcome. But, I think I like you so let’s make a deal.” Abdul replies. “Deal??” Malek questions “If you win, you can have everything I own, but if I win, you just go home and sign up for the military academy.” He proposes. Malek tilts his head in confusion. “But I already signed up, they never replied to me.” Malek replies. ‘Ah they are probably throwing out his application just like that other kid.’ He thinks to himself. “Don’t worry just give it to me. I’ll get you in.” Abdul says, putting his hands in his pockets. “You talkin’ like you already won, I’m bout' to end you.” Malek says as he puts hands up in a fighting position. He then bends his knees and burst into a full speed sprint towards Abdul. Flexing his right hand, Malek throws a punch directed at Abdul’s face. Abdul spreads his legs preparing for the impact. Catching Malek’s fist the floor underneath them cracks. “Is that all you got? Boy.” He says with a slight smirk.
Malek shocked at how his fist got caught and quickly grows a smile. The battle continues with Malek throwing blows and Abdul either dodging or blocking them with ease. “So when are you going to use your Flow?” Abdul questions Malek. “When you use yours.” He replies. “Fine then, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Abdul replies as he takes a step back separating himself from Malek. The sound of something sizzling is heard that gets louder until it starts to break into crackling. Black lightning forms around the body of Abdul. Malek eyes widen but it was an instant, Abdul has already appeared in front of Malek and delivers a right hook. Malek gets thrown back but quickly recovers on one knee. ‘W-what the hell was that?! So fast and that hurts!’ he says looking down at his hands as they shake from getting hit in the face. Abdul doesn’t hesitate and the barrage of attacks commence as each blow, Malek is getting flung all over the place. Crashing into walls, getting flung in the air, and the smashed down to the ground. ‘He sure doesn’t go down easy, most kids his age would have dropped from the first hit. Yet… he just keeps standing. Something is off..’ Abdul thinks to himself. ‘I almost got it, I can see! I can start to see his movements.’ Malek finishes his thought. ‘To my right!’ Malek turns his head and in that split second Malek and Abdul meet eyes. The blow lands but Abdul stands still in shock.
‘H-he can see me?! Its only been a few minutes since we started fighting and hes already adapted to my speed this quickly?. But that last blow has done it, even if he saw me, he suffered too much damage to get back up.’ Abdul expresses turning around and turning off his flow. “Well looks like I won kid-“ The rubble where Malek landed starts to move as Malek slowly comes out of. His eyes sharper than any Abdul had seen before. This single gaze put a shiver down the back of a Leading Officer. Such bloodlust and determination. Malek is covered in bruises and scraps bleeding all over. “I aint lose yet.. I am gon’ be great. I can’t lose to a fucking Leading Officer..-” Malek says staring with a smirk. “I can see now, your attacks won’t hit me again-“ he says as he falls forward with a smile and passes out falling to the ground. Abdul in shock slowly walks up to Malek. “If only you were born somewhere else…” Abdul says dejectedly, only to be greeted by the growl of Malek's stomach. Suddenly, the sound of heels echo in the alleyway. A woman calling out Malek's name. “MALEK!!! Oh my god there you are!” His mother shouts, darting wards her son, battered and brused from his fight. She looks up at Abdul, noticing his Leading Officer suit instantly dropping to her knees apologetically. “I am so sorry please forgive him! He an idiot and just runs around causing trouble! Please I beg you, if you’re going to take his life, please take mine instead!” She says with full conviction. Abdul eyes soften as those words were words he heard many times. Begging for survival. “Do not worry mam. I will not take his or your life. All I want is permission.” Malek’s mother moves over to her son holding him close. “Permission?” She questioned. “Will you allow your son to enter the military academy?” Abdul asks.
“Of course. That’s what Malek wanted.” She says with a smile. Abdul chuckles with a sigh of relief. He then turns and walks towards one of the cars, taking an object from the inside. “Here take this.” He gives her a first aid kit. “This will help him recover from his wounds. But it looks as though he passed out due to hunger.” He claims. “It is embarrassing but you probably won’t be surprised but we are very poor. We are at the lowest point right now and I can’t afford food… But Malek always makes sure I eat first even though he is the one who needs it the most to grow…” Tears start to flow from her eyes. “He hasn’t had a single bite of food in 7 days!” She says breaking down in tears. Abdul eyes widen fully, and he replays everything she told him and what has just happened in the battle. ‘He is that strong even without eating for 7 days?! What is he?! A monster?’ Abdul then quickly comes to his senses and pulls out some cash, rubs it into the ground to make it look as if it was regular money. “Please take this. I want to see your child in my class.” He says with a bright smile and darts away. Now standing on top of a building, Abdul watches every corner before blowing a whistle to gather everyone. “Sector 7, the worst area in the world as we know it. Place where people are weak and fragile and poor. Violence, gang wars, murders every day. At a place such as this, it was a matter of time when a monster would be born. Malek was it… I’ll see you soon.”
