Disclaimer: This is pretty much my first actual experience as a writer, I don´t know how good it will turn out, it might be shitty at times, but also amazing at others, it might be cliche at times, things might feel out of place or forced, I might not be able to express myself as well as I want to, sometimes because of a lack of skill, sometimes because of the language barrier (english isn´t my first language) and while I have a pretty good idea on how I want to set up the world, characters and lore, the story will develop as I write it. It's a learning experience for me and I hope some will still stick around and be open for this. Have fun!

The young man was breathing heavily. The blazing fire sucked up almost all the oxygen and smoke was filling his lungs. The fire was burning his flesh and burned pieces of what used to be his home fell on his head as he ran through the almost ruined house "Asmi..." he tried shouting the name of his sister, but was interrupted by a heavy cough from the smoke "Asmira!" he managed to shout between coughs as he continued running "Alej...Alej where are you?" his sisters weak voice could be heard as she crawled over the ground. A burning roof beam cracked and started to fall. Alej barely managed to throw himself over his sister. The heavy beam smashed on his back, the hot wood burning into his flesh "Alej, what is going on? Are you alright?" "I´m fine" he lied and threw the beam off. He didn`t want to worry her even more. The blind girl crawled towards him, following his voice "We need to get out of here" he said and picked up the small girl.

"Hey Alej...Alej...Hey Alej! Are you even listening?" the young girl asked angrily. Alej looked up. The young girl stared at him...well not really, but she would have, if she could see "Sorry, I dozed off"  He looked around. It was already noon and the ox in front of their carriage has gotten slower "it´s getting chilly, should we set up the camp?" Asmira asked "Yeah, you are right"

It has been 3 years since knights of the Order of Arajas burned down their home and slaughtered their family. All because their mother was a 'Dirtblood', a bastard half Human, half Elf and branded a witch for using her magic to heal. Every mage that wasn´t under control of the order, was considered evil and hunted down....from a race that only exists thanks to magic.

Alej sat down, the crackling fire warming his bones and resting his back against Olf, their trusty old Ox. "Alej, can you tell me a story?" Asmira asked cuddling herself into her thick blanket. Alej chuckled "Of course, any wishes?" "The one about the Dragons!" Asmira said exitedly "Again?" Alej laughed "that´s like the sixth time" seeing his sisters pouting face he complied "Alright, Alright, the Dragons it is. Okay so thousands of years ago....
