A strong wind blew across the sands of the Veritas, kicking up a 'Sandstorm' immediately in the Eternal Desert all throughout the Valley of Dry Bones. Much of the Valley's Treasure was exposed after such a strong wind had passed by, something like the Wind Goddess' footsteps, themselves. From out of the 'Sandstorm,' the grounded airship 'Labrys, the Pharaoh's Labyrinth,' was racing through the desert sands vigorously.
"Yo ho, yoho," a woman's voice brandishing a luscious English accent muttered, only the darkness of her figure able to be seen, "A Pirate's Life For Me." It was Black Cube and her Black Sand Pirates again, all of which were brandished in fine, luscious black. Cube, herself, sported a large black bnny eared cosplay hat that fit all of her long hair inside of its ears, and a rather loose pitch black croptop to match her giant baggy shorts. Long, twisted locks of ebony hair spilled out of her hat before her chocolate face, right in front of her dark eyes. "Sorry, kiddies, but you're gonna have to wait." The Trunade, which was the entire gang that they were referred to as, had first dibs on the treasures. "This is the kinda life I'm supposed to live..." Cube couldn't do her fair share of pillaging back at that establishment she was just in, but out here, certainly there was some booty about.
The Black Sand Pirates, which were the crew that had gathered in favor of Black Cube during her assembly of the Trunade, once given her father's airship as a Pirate Ship, would steady the boat and guide her smoothly over the sands. Swanboo, Black Cube's First Mate, which looked like some sort of Imp with weird looking arms and legs and wings atop its head, would be busy reading the coordinates from the book he always had open. "Ready when you are, Boss."
"Take 'er down, then," Cube said, her foot kicked up along the railing of the ship. "Remember only to swipe up what belongs to us. Touching anything that isn't ours will curse us." Cube didn't need ANOTHER cursed weapon on her hands. One was enough. Suddenly, yet smoothly, the ship would glide across the Valley of Dry Bones, with Cube's eyes glazing over the surface of the desert sands hunting for lost treasure.
What the sands exposed were some of the Lost Artifacts of the Bunnybee Universe that had just randomly been there hidden in the Eternal Desert.
"Aces," Black Cube cried, seeing the trail of Lost Artifacts as the wind brushed from over them. It seemed like they were just dusty. "Tensei Relics." Cube pointed her hand across the land and said, "Shadow..." The large black rabbit ear on her head would stretch out straight over the desert and dig its claws through the sand like a crane. What sifted through the fingertips of the Living Shadow were all of the Bunnybee Artifacts that were in the sand. "... Leave everything else. We're done here." The large shadowy black rabbit ear-hand would suddenly close its hand and shrink back to its normal size matching its other side and returning to their symmetry atop her head.
Swanboo: Aye aye, Boss.
Without skipping a beat, the ship would skid off of a huge sand dune of black sand that hurled it straight up into the air with 'Black Sand' trailing off behind it. The flying ship flew straight back into the passing sandstorm that it came from, and when the winds would die down, the airship would be completely out of sight and out of mind again; gone without a trace.
A searing heat soared throughout the desert all about the air, burning away what carrion that it may capture in its presence before fading away once everything was burnt up under its heat. Whatever was left would be under the layer of sand and treasure that hadn't been completely seared away by the randomly passing desert air. The sand crackled at its utter eradication from the presence walking by. The sound of crackling popcorn followed everywhere it passed by.
Cube and the Black Sand Pirates all appeared in the Enigmatic Ruins in a passing sandstorms, directly in the core where the old ruins of the original 'Allsgrim Manor' used to be. She'd look at it with cold and hard eyes, but stop to pay respects to it just with her looking upon it and acknowledging it. "The ship would land right in this spot..." she muttered to herself with a bit of disgust. She hated being reminded of these things, as very grateful as she was for how they occurred and why. She was just trying to get over it all at this point. "... The Desert Palace hasn't been the same, though." Hopefully there was still a Cauldron here, or perhaps one of the secret underground passages into the actual chambers of the Desert Palace.
"Shadow..." Cube called out, closing her eyes and allowing her mind to link with her Living Shadow. Before too long, one of her rabbit ears would twitch in some arbitrary direction. Cube would hop out of the ship and start to look around. Her crew followed behind her.
The Veritas revealed the entrance to the Enigmatic Ruins right underneath the ruins of the Allsgrim Manor, where the Cauldron of the Enigmatic Ruins was. Only the Royal Family knew of it's whereabouts and how to open it up.
Swanboo, the First Mate, was the nearest to her, hovering nearby at all times faithfully, with the Grimoire in his hands for when they needed to use it. Whilst Cube and Shadow went on ahead, Swanboo studied the pieces of the Tensei Lore that were littered about the Archival data. "This is it, Boss," he said to her after a little while. "We got the goods. They're in the bag."
The Black Sand Pirates, a faction of 'The Trunade,' had been scavenging the Enigmatic Ruins for a while for the Tensei Artifacts, especially before Bunnybee could get her hands on them and start doing random things with them. "Yeah?" Black Cube responded, "Make sure everyone's all cozy, then." She looked around with a grit on her face like an Old Western Harmonica could play in the background at any moment. The darkness of this part of the Eternal Desert was pitch dark, especially near the Darkness Lands. "We've rounded us up the treasure, so there's no need to dillydally." She sucked her teeth, nodding her head in satisfaction with squinted eyes gazing over the horizon beyond the Enigmatic Ruins. "... But I think there's more down there in the Cemetery. Who knows what sort of good spare parts could have been accidentally placed down there." With the 'Desert Palace,' which was on the borderland of the 'Darkness Lands,' picked clean, the Black Sand Pirates could ship out for more of the Lost Tensei Forbidden Treasure.
She looked on at the cemetery with her eyes squinted with the crew all hauling ass back to the Airship, 'Pharaoh's Labyrinth.' Swanboo stayed behind, gazing inquisitively at her. "You wanna go back, don'tcha?" He knew that look on her face anywhere. He landed on his feet next to her and closed up the Grimoire.
Suddenly one of the tails of Black Cube would appear out of her Living Shadow, sprouting from under her and along the surface of the ground like an ink stroke. It was the Living Shadow acting on its own and shifting for Black Cube of its own sentience when she did not respond after a certain period of time. It had already split from her shadow's body and slipped into the darkness of Necropolis, the Dark Cemetery.
A swift wind passed by Black Cube's head. It was Ne, the Flying Dutchman, who hovered over the Living Shadow as it blew by. The wraith remained silent and enigmatic but looked directly at Black Cube as they parted. Without the power of the Ne and the Living Shadow, Black Cube would once again return to a weakened state, and a lower Restriction with so much of her energy shifting at once.
Ne the Ghost Pirate is a mysterious spirit that helps Cube with her endeavors because he feeds on the emotional energy of others, and absorbs Cube's confidence or triumph. He enjoys randomly scaring people, but otherwise, keeps to himself. He has many strange spiritual powers that no one understands, but are associated with his attachment and affiliation to Black Cube and she, herself, including with the Living Shadow acting as a symbiote attached to its essence.
Cube couldn't help but to scoff at the notion that she even wanted to remain here in the Realm of Lost Secrets. It was no secret that she wanted to pillage as much of her own treasure as possible, since it was all here and waiting to be uncovered after years of not looking any of it in the face nor needing it. It was all stuff from the past, a long and great history of Epic Art that Cube was very proud of and highly curious about, since there was so much of it that was incomplete and also meant to be further looked into. She couldn't even really respond to her trusty First Mate without getting a little bit misty-eyed.
Yet.
"Don't hafta," Cube said with a hint of lackadaisical passivity, "Ain't no one getting in the Tensei archives nohow. I don't even gotta think about it." Of course, to have come all of this way to unlock the secrets of the family treasure and then pass it up and mosey on her way was probably the most foolish thing anyone could think to do when there was so much glorious glamour waiting underneath the sands of time. Why, any one of the treasures of lore would be a pretty penny, and since it was all in the family, there would be no distribution issues when it came to how it was all sorted out -- especially considering Cube's place in it all.
