In seavill during the night and darkness of the alleyways with only the sound of the rats scurrying around. The torn old warehouse was noisy with people walking, counting money, doing combat training, weapon training, and gearing up for missions. While all of that was going on Veronica walked past all of them and went straight to her father’s office where everyone respects him as his formal title is the boss of the Diamond mafia. 

Veronica: dad can I hang out with Eric 

Veronica’s dad: sure but we need to check if he’s here with his mom first 

Veronica: ok 

After a few minutes had passed Veronica’s dad got an answer for Veronica. 

Veronica’s dad: so he’s in but remember don’t play too late ok 

Veronica: ok dad 

Veronica’s dad: go have fun

Veronica: I will bye 

Veronica then left her dad’s office and headed to where Eric was normally admiring the people gearing up for a mission. 

Eric: wouldn’t it be cool if we got to do that 

Veronica: we will in a few years when I'm in charge of the Diamond mafia 

Eric: yes, but we need to practice more with weapons because my shooting skills suck

Veronica: and I need to practice my combat skills and the next mafia leader in training 

Random male:(scoffs) 

Veronica then turned around to face the man who scoffed at her and to her surprise, it was Axl, her dad’s right-hand man who was supposed to take over after her father before she was born. 

Axl: that was something he told me before you were born 

Veronica: yes, but…

Axl: but nothing your still young, learning everything from the beginning, but I on the other hand knows this place and job inside out and finished my training, I am more equipped for this position than you are my dear 

Veronica: ok, but it is a job meant to be passed down by blood he only appointed you in case he never had a child meaning you are a backup plan 

Axl then left in a fit of rage with his pistol by his side, Veronica and Eric thought nothing of it as Axl does this a lot. So they entered a soundproof room so Veronica can help Eric get better with his aim and shooting posture. When they finished practicing about 2 hours later Veronica and Eric exited the soundproof room and noticed blood and bodies on the floor in confusion and panic they both headed to Veronica’s dad’s office and when the door opened it creaked and eerie silence. They then looked at the table in the office noting Veronica’s dad with his head facing down on top of the table. 

Veronica: dad(she says in a shaky voice) 

Nobody answered so Veronica went closer to her father and moved his head up a bit and noticed blood on the table dripping from his head when she looked at his head and noticed it was caused by a bullet wound. The door behind them at that moment creaked and closed leaving Veronica to notice a person from the dim lighting near the door. 

Axl: (maniacal laughter)  finally the man is dead 

Veronica: no he can’t be (still in denial) 

 Axl: but he is and you on the other hand(he says while walking towards her) 

Eric: leave her alone 

Axl: this is between me and her young man (he says waving his pistol towards him) it would be smart to keep your mouth shut 

Axl then walked towards Veronica and grabbed her by the hair, opening up the door, dragging her outside, and throwing her to the side making her land on the cement ground. 

Axl: how does it feel being at the bottom now 

Veronica: you can’t do this 

Axl: oh, but I just did( he then laughed and walked inside shutting the door behind him)

Veronica was just left orphaned by a family friend outside in the humidity of the night in a dark alleyway alone and scared. Walked the streets of seavill until she bumped into a tall man wearing a black suit with a silver chain. 

Veronica: oh I'm sorry (she says while wiping away a tear) 

The tall man then turned to face her. 

Tall man: it’s fine, are you okay on the other hand 

Veronica: not a family friend killed my dad and now I am homeless 

Tall man: well you can stay with me at the villain base

Veronica: so you're one of the bad guys

Tall man: no we are trying to change the hero society my name is Adyen by the way 

Veronica: I am Veronica 

Aidan then took Veronica to the villain base that she would call home for the years to come.
