We were sitting on the ground in the far back corner of the closet waiting for the screaming to be over. Me and my sister, Ashley, couldn't do anything about it, as I was 3 and she was 7, so we waited. The screaming's of our pack finally stopped after what felt like hours listening. We waited a few extra minutes to make sure. Ashley went out first then me. As we looked for our parents on the Alpha floor, we found blood going to the stairs. We followed it down to the first floor. We went outside and saw a scene no one could forget. There lying on the floor covered in blood was our pack. There lifeless bodies weren't alive. We tried our best to ignore our pack and to ignore the tears that were falling. We looked around for our missing parent when we heard two voices. We followed the voices into an alley. There standing at the end were two men in suits. There conversation was hushed even with my new werewolf hearing. But not long after one of the men looked around him and spotted us. He pointed at us and said something to the other and they both started to walk over. Ashley grabbed me by the shoulders.
"Colton I need you to be strong for me. OK? I need you to run and don't stop until you know you are safe. I love you little brother. Now run!" We took off running in the opposite directions. Tears we blurring my vision. I was only three years old and this was happening. I don't know if any thing could be worse. My wolf, Milo, had just been able to turn a couple weeks ago. I painfully turned into my beautiful all white wolf before Milo took over.
7 years later.....
I was running at full speed. I don't remember what I was running from but all I know is that is was bad. I ran for weeks straight until I found myself in California which by the way is pretty far from New York. I found my self a little den and slept there.
The next morning there was a weird smell. The smell of more wolves. I opened my eyes and carefully walked out of the den. I looked around and saw three wolves smelling the area. I quickly hid behind a rock. I waited for the sound of bones cracking to stop before peaking my head above it. There stood the three now naked humans all looking at me. I slowly stood up. I new at this point my eyes had gone complete white, hiding my true two colored eyes. I growled at them.
"Hey, hey, hey, we are not here to hurt you. We came to help." One of them said. He stood to the far right of all the others. He was also the tallest. He probably was the beta. "OK? The Alpha of our pack wanted to know who was out here, and he wanted to see if he could help. The house is only a couple minute walk from here."
"Come on." The guy on the left said. The one one in the middle was just looking at me weirdly.
"Why do you look like that?" The one in the middle said. The beta guy elbowed him in the stomach. "No I'm serous. This kid looks what? 11? 11 at least. What other 11 year old is that...looks that strong?" Now all of them were looking at me weirdly, like I was going to answer them. But I mean I guess they were right. I was a lot stronger than any 11 year old and probably stronger than a 18 year old. But you can thank those stupid vamps for that, even if he doesn't remember the last 5 years of his life.
I did agree with coming with them. The walk was short, when we got there, there was a house well more like a mansion that was all white except for the wolf symbol on the top of the building. In front of in was like a stage kinda thing. We had one at my old pack, this was probably the meeting house. In front of the stage there was hundreds of people sitting in chairs on the grass, there were pups playing and also someone at the top of the stage. When he saw us he started to walk over, all conversations between the other wolves sitting completely stopped as all attention moved to us. He stopped in front of me. This guy was so tall. He looked 6'7 at least, he had brown hair that was starting to gray and green eyes that looked angry, and concerned?
He bent down in front of me. "My name is Henry, i'm Alpha of the Riverside pack. What's your name?"
I said nothing for a few seconds. "Colton." I said in a small voice. All of Henry's anger was gone immediately after that.
"How old are you Colton?" I held up ten fingers. I would have spoken to him again but I don't trust him yet "OK? What pack are you from?" What pack was I from? I don't have a pack because mine got murdered.
'Wow Milo. We are a lone wolf.' I said to my wolf.
'Yes. Yes we are Colton.' He said back.
I looked at Henry. "I don't have one." And with that the Alpha of the Riverside pack was hugging me. I hate getting touched so I started to cry. Henry quickly let go.
"What's wrong?"
"I-I..." The next thing I know the darkness is taking my vision.
