Dedicated to: My little brother, Akku
Inspiration: I was inspired by the cunning grace of animals, the instinctual drive for survival that pulses through the wild, the silent nature of hunters, the soft rustle of paws on leaves, and the haunting calls — the hoots, the meows, and the whispers of the night that awaken the untamed beast within.
Once in the lost lands of the Minji jungle, there were three kids who had absolutely no idea they were the warriors of Minji, and far away from those kids was their lost leader — which they did not even know was their leader — not even the little leader himself…
The three kids’ names were Nimji, Kimji, and Somji, and the little leader’s name was Mounchioun!!!
Nimji is a humanoid Bengal tiger with exceptionally sharp teeth. Kimji is a red panda with a strong build and warm eyes. Somji is a huge butterfly that also flies really fast; however, they are not aware of their potential… yet…
Now, you see, this is where the story starts. Kimji, Nimji, and Somji were still young teens and did not know what the world hid.
As they lay there under the warm breeze and blue skies, among jungle trees… then suddenly, out of nowhere, a pack of wolves and foxes started chasing them.
Somji started to fly away really fast.
“Why are we so fast and strong all of a sudden?!”
“I don’t know — we’ve always been kind of strong, right?” said Nimji, shocked but aware.
Then the pack of wolves packed up on all corners, circling them.
“What do you want from us?!” said Kimji.
“Oh, but you know what we want,” said the wolf in an eerie tone.
Nimji said, “We don’t know what you're talking about.”
“You really don’t know, huh?” said the leader of the pack. He seemed to have a limp in his leg.
“We are here for the three warriors, which happen to be a Bengal tiger, red panda, and a butterfly.”
“Whaaaaaaaat?! We can’t be warriors, right, Somji? We’re just kids!” said Nimji.
“I don’t know! I mean — I just feel weird. Like, I’m not normal, I’m fast, and I don’t get tired easily. My wings are stronger than they should be for my size.”
The wolf’s eyes narrowed.
“Exactly. You three are no normal kids. You are very strong for your age and species — and you have stamina beyond what’s natural.”
“Wait, what did you say? Strong and full of stamina — that’s exactly what the warrior prophecies describe!” said the wolf.
“Wait really, so like how do we kn-know like umm—”
Until proper words came out of Somji’s mouth, the wolf said, “Yes, you did not know that? Weird. But if you really don’t know, then… well, I should tell you about your lost leader.”
“Once in the village of these perilous jungles lived a little boy named Mounchioun. The day he was born was the happiest day of the village’s life. You see, Mounchioun had great hearing, and he could do impossible things that others were incapable of. But when in anger, his eyes would turn pure blood red, and his body grew sharp, long spikes. But thank God he barely got angry and mostly stayed calm.
One day, a farmer named Mirk started annoying him every day, and one day, he took it too far. You see, it was Mounchioun’s father’s funeral, and before passing away, his father gave him a golden pallet decorated with the most delicate gems.
The next day, Mounchioun was sitting on the riverbank admiring his dad’s gift when suddenly, Mirk came, took the pallet, and threw it in the riverbank. But legend has it that before he threw it, a sea monster caught it in his mouth, and it has it till this day.
Understandably, Mounchioun felt really livid. He almost killed Mirk. Mirk left the ‘fight’ with a blind eye and a broken hand. Because of that, the village had to let go of him and banish Mounchioun, but he still roams around the far and lost lands of Minji.”
