The world is a cruel place, it cares not for those that call themselves “ethical,” it is the pinnacle of spiraling fate. The Wild is different; it kills those that are alone, helpless, and weak. The forest demands an audience, an audience that would like to see the world burn.
Cold mist covers the forest floor, the silence broken with cries of horror and pain echoing through the trees. Three vicious dogs, towering over a defenseless wanderer, blood staining the forest floor. The dogs toss the motionless body of a collie across the ground as if playing with a brittle stick. The body lands with a loud thump, knocking the breath out of him.
“Please… I have a family..” the injured collie yelped. “You’ve had your chance Simon,” The fierce voice roared. “You’ve clearly forgotten our deal,” The deep growl of a large silhouette. “Can we kill him now?” an impatient bark mustered. “Do what you like, our work is done,” A low and menacing growl says.
The two dogs turn away as the Rottweiler bears his teeth, shredding the collie. The forest is disturbed by loud shrieks of pain in the night. When the Rottweiler finishes, the lifeless body of the collie is sprawled out, fur matted with blood.
“We must find this stone, who knows what may happen if it falls into the wrong hands,” the large silhouette said as the group of dogs disappears into the deep dark forest. Once silence ensues, a bush rustles as a pair of yellow eyes vanishes, as if someone else was watching.
The Forest seeks for new travelers, hearts with good intention to unbalance the darkness within; it has already found its audience...
