Suddenly,an icicles grasp my hand tightly and rapidly wrapped me in a cocoon.

I spranged up!

I took a deep breath as I could feel my body temperature alternating between hotness and coldness, I've always had this dream since I was fifteen,same date,same time every month.

The first time it happened,I was so terrified that I ran to my parents' room,I could only get a sleep after my Mom sang me a song.She did this for six months after which I got the lyrics of the song and I always sing it after this kind of dream everytime.

The lyrics of the song is something that always makes me feels strange because the song isn't available on any music platform,I asked my Mom about it and how she knew it,she told me she just knew it and never says anything more than that.

I looked at the clock right opposite my bed and saw it's 6am in the morning,I dressed up in my jogging suit,put on my headset and went out of my house.I increased the volume of the song playing to the highest volume and start my jogging after taking deep breathe.

One and half hours later.......

I tied my shoelaces and walked up to my bag on my bed.

"You ready,young lady?"My Dad,Cian Houston,called out.

"Coming Dad"I hollered as I ran quickly down the staircase.

"Careful sweetie"My Mom,Olivia Houston,said and walked to my father's side and slapped him on the back,"Why would you be urging my baby to be fast when you're the one that woke up late"She said with her hands akimbo.

My Dad raised his hand in surrender and turned to my Mom while bowing slightly,"I'm sorry,Your highness"

My Mom turned to me while smiling and handed me a lunch box.

"Mommm"I groaned

"Shut up!This is a food far better than the one in your lousy cafeteria,i wouldn't want you to be eating unhealthy food"She said while wriggling her nose in annoyance.

"Alright Mom,I'm almost late"I said while kissing her cheeks and grabbed my Father's hand dragging him towards the garage.

"For God sake,young lady"He grumbles.

"Be safe"My Mom called out and I waved at her.

Hi,My name is Indigo Houston,a third year geologist in the University of California,Los Angeles.My Father is also a geologist and presently owns mining company plus a refineries.Yeah, we're pretty loaded!. Despite this,we lived a low-key life and my parents are very loving and humble,I mean the kind of parents whom you could tell literally everything happening in your life.I'm about to clock twenty-two,I mean its happening in a month.I remember my Dad buying me a beach house when I was twenty,my Mom literally chased him everywhere that day,saying how could he buy me a house in a place thats far from her,she could be dramatic sometimes,they forgot I'm still going to leave their house one day.

I'm 5"6 tall,a light brown haired that looks almost golden(And that's funny given the fact that my Mom and Dad are both black haired) but my Dad always says I look like his grandmother.

I have an icy blue eyes,the kind that looks almost pale and a pale soft skin.

I've always wondered about my difference to my parents and my Mom would say,"That old Cian has such a weak gene because the genetics literally skipped over him,you should see your grandmother,you look exactly like her"

A pen hit me snapping me out of my reverie.

"Would you mind telling me what's on your mind,Ms Houston?"Mrs Townsend said.She is known as the kind of lecturer you would pray not to meet even in the corridor,she's pretty mean!

"Sorry ma'am"I apologize

"What could you possibly be sorry about"she says again.

I'm about to snap when I felt a drag of my clothes,I cleared my throat.

"I'm sorry,Mrs Townsend.Could you please explain why the plate tectonics doesn't seem to share some part of the precambrian rocks here so it could at least prevent some live losts during earthquakes?"I said.

The class made a loud whoops and a bang on the table,I smiled briefly at her.

She snorted in annoyance and turned to continue with her class.

 

Twenty minutes later....

"I will see you next class and welcome to the rain semester"She says while turning to me,"And we're gonna be having a lot of field work this semester".

A round of groans and voices of protest rang throughout the class.

"Ind,Only you could pull off that kind of trick on Mrs Townsend,that woman is a witch I'm telling you"My best friend, Ophelia,said while tying her jet black hair into ponytail.

"Oh please,she just wants someone to vent her anger unto"I replied her.

"What are your plans for today? Because I'm having a date with Jake in the evening,do you wanna tag along,Trent is also coming"She winked at the end of her statement.

"Come on,I told you I'm not gonna be joining you in anything that has to do with that guy,he's so creepy,am I the only one feeling that?"I asked her while raising my brows in enquiry.

"Yeah,only you because I've got no negative feelings from him"She replied

"Well,I'm not going.I've got to listen to my instincts"I said and lay my head on the table while stretching my upper body.

"You and that godforsaken instinct"she snorted in annoyance.

My other half,as I called my instincts,is something that I could say had me feel relaxed in this dog shit world and right now,that feeling is against this Trent of a guy even though he is sending all kind of signals but who cares.

I've never had a boyfriend and it never pain me because I have a strong feeling of someday.
