Emily stood in front of her classroom, feeling a sense of déjà vu. It had been three months since her breakup with Peter, and she still struggled to move on. She had thrown herself into her work, spending long hours planning lessons and grading papers. But no matter how busy she was, she couldn't escape the memories of their relationship.

As her students filed into the classroom, Emily put on a smile and greeted them. She loved her job as a teacher and enjoyed working with kids, but today she felt more exhausted than usual. She had spent the previous night tossing and turning, thinking about Peter and what could have been.

"Good morning, class," she said, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Today, we're going to be learning about..."

She launched into her lesson, but her mind kept wandering. She thought about the time she and Peter had gone on a trip to the beach and had watched the sunset together. She remembered the way he had looked at her, his eyes filled with love and admiration.

She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. This wasn't the time to be thinking about Peter. She needed to focus on her students.

As the morning wore on, Emily's mood improved. She loved seeing her students learn and grow, and their enthusiasm was infectious. She felt a sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing that she was making a difference in their lives.

At lunchtime, Emily headed to the teacher's lounge to eat her sandwich. She had planned to eat alone, but as she entered the room, she saw Tom, a fellow teacher, sitting at one of the tables. Tom was a kind-hearted person who always had a smile on his face. Emily had known him for a few months but had never really gotten to know him.

"Hey, Emily," he said, as she walked over to him. "Mind if I join you?"

"Sure," she said, sitting down opposite him.

Tom pulled out his own sandwich and began to eat, chatting with Emily about their classes and their weekend plans. Emily found herself relaxing in his company, enjoying the easy conversation and the lack of pressure.

As they finished their lunch, Tom looked at Emily with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked. "You seem a bit down today."
