A boy with black hair and cat ears and a tail,
swerved through a tiny village, before coming to an abrupt stop. He looked up
at a great big sycamore tree, he exhaled heavily, and knocked on the door into
the great tree.
“What do you want?” a rasping voice came
from inside, and a steady walking sound.
“You wanted to see me?” He asked nervously flicking his tail to and froe, the
man didn’t sound like his jolly self, this made the 17-year-old boy on edge. Why
is his walking so smooth? This isn’t like him.
“Oh! …. Alex… its you!” said the man opening the door.
“Blue said it was important sir.” Alex started only to be cut off.
“Please, call me by my name.” smiled the old man,
“As you wish, Gaylord.” Alex relaxed a bit, untensing his shoulders, leaning
into the tree.
“So, I have a… kind of mission for you. The house that we chose to make our
village next to has a girl that lives there, a girl who I’d like to… invite to
the village! But I’m getting too old to be running back and forth. I’d like you
to invite her for me.” Explained Gaylord with mischief in his voice.
“Sir, I thought you said you didn’t want anyone else being invited… after that
happened…” Started Alex but was cut off by Gaylord as he tried to explain,
panic edging his voice.
“You got me, there is more to this girl then you would imagine,” he started, flustered,
“she has great power, but doesn’t know how to use it, find her. Go into her
dreams and take her here. Explain to her what’s happening. I have… gotten a… prophecy
for her! And I’m afraid if I ignore it this town will be forgotten.” A
suspiciously large smile appeared on Gaylord’s face.
He paused, why is he acting so strange? Alex shook his head, pushing the
thought away before turning around and vanishing into the crowd of people that
lived in the village of Råyieyü.
