Hi, my name is Melina Costa. My parents both died when I was 10. I’m a homo-avian, last of my species, actually. At least, I think… anyways, I live in a place called Sanctuary. People use to call it Washington. It changed its name mostly because the entire world is ruled by monsters called Sems, short for Semihumans, and Sanctuary is the only safe place now. Everyone who has gone away from Sanctuary has never come back… of course, this also means humanity has been shortened to probably only around 1500 humans on earth, 530 being scientifically enhanced, 270 of those being cyborgs.
